Hotel Romantica — Hotel in Municipality of Kissamos

I stayed in Romantica apts with my family from 30thaug to 16thsep 2013.||The first impression you get at your arrival is of extreamly cleaness and order in the garden around the house. My daughter aged 3 immediatley fell in love with the goats, the dog, the cats and the lovely rabbit that jumps in the garden!||We stayed in an apt on the ground floor with two verandas, one overlooking the mountains and one the sea. The apt consists in a bedroom with double bed, not too spacious but enough for placing also a baby cot and a living room with fully equipped kitchenette and a sofa bed. There is also a bathroom with shower and a window. Moreover, air conditioning, hairdryer and coffee maker are provided. ||You can easily reach the great beach of Falassarna at about 500 mt where you can find sunbeds and umbrellas (6 Euros p/day, at the Big Beach two bottles of water are also included in the price!) and many other spots where you can place your own. There is also a gulf naturally enclosed by the rocks, where children can swim and play safely.||For those who like history, at the end of the endless beach, going forward through the olive trees you will find the ancient ruins of the minoan port where you can see among others a huge throne made of stone and an ancient quay.||The owners of Romantica, Athina and her beautiful family are really helpful and will make you taste the real cretan hospitality, they really maked us feel like we were at home!||Finally, we had a wonderful holiday in Falassarna and if we will be back we will definitely stay again...

We discovered the delights of Falasarna on a previous visit to Crete and promised ourselves we would stay here on the next visit to the Island. We were lucky enough to find the Romantica Apartments with availability during our search and booked there and then.||They are exactly as described and impeccably clean. We were welcomed on arrival by Dimitri who quickly found his wife Athina to show us around. We had appartment 4 which benefits from 2 outside areas - one with a sea view, the other more private overlloking the mountains. Inside we found a servicable kitchenette leading to shower room on one side and bedroom on the other. As she showed it to us Athina explained that the bedroom had just been fully re-fitted and that she planned to upgrade the shower room and kitchen soon too. The enormous bed was wonderfully comfortable (quite firm, but we like that) and the wardrobe and units made for a modern feeling room. There is air conditioning, but in early june we didnt need this as plenty of fresh air came through the shutter screen with the inner window open.||In truth the kitchen and shower will benefit when brought up to this standard, but are perfectly serviceable for now.||The hotel itself is set well back from the already quiet road and it really is a very short walk down to the best of Falasarnas beaches.||Athina and Dimitri spoilt us with gifts of food items every other day - fresh eggs, cretan pies, home cooked veg and fresh figs. They are really welcoming, generous...

We had the pleasure to enjoy a whole week at the Romantica Apartments. Everything was even better than we imagined. Greeted with a warm and heartful welcome. Athina made sure we felt always comfortable during our stayment and had no questions open. We rarely felt so welcome during our holidays in the past as here. The location and view is stunning and the apartment we had, offered everything we needed during the vacation. The rooms were clean and tidy.
