I booked a harbour view room and a single occupancy room. I emailed the hotel ahead of time and asked if the single occupancy room could have some sort of view. We were not disappointed. Our harbour view was beautiful and my son had a side harbour view, which was really good. |The staff were all polite, helpful and friendly. The lady cleaning our room was particularly pleasant to us, always saying hello with a big smile. Reception were happy to help me with any questions I had about the resort, and sorted out an issue I had with my transfer. |The hotel was a very short walk from the restaurants, shops, beach, and boats that could be booked for different excursions. In my opinion a great location. |Breakfast was good, always plenty of choice, I liked sitting out on the terrace watching the boats go off on their trips. |The rooftop bar was very reasonably priced, also had a lovely view of the harbour, and was a lovely place to sit in a bit of shade. Service there was also friendly and efficient.|The bar in the evening was also nice. They had some of the cheapest cocktails that we found and the service was great. |Sadly, there were things with this hotel that justify my 3 star review.|The room: was dated and basic. Often the drawers would not close properly as they did not line up. The furniture was very cheap and flimsy. There were hardly any power points. This was all also true in the room we had for our last day as we could not keep our room on, but our flight was very late. We had to pay €50 for the room which I was happy to do. In this room the cupboard doors and drawers did not close properly as they did not line up. |The bath did not drain when we first arrived, and although we complained and the problem was sorted (no issues with that) the fix was obviously temporary as it was slow to drain again before we left.|The shower was TERRIBLE, seriously the worst shower I have EVER experienced on a holiday. We managed but it was not great.|There were 2 english channels on the tv, both news. Not a big issue for me but my husband likes the tv on when we are in the room. The picture was out of sync on the tv, and on the odd occasion there was a film in English, the heads of people were often cut off the screen. |The room was not sound proof. There was a lot of noise coming from the bars across the harbour at night and you could hear it, especially the base of the music, when trying to sleep. |None of these things would bother me much but this is not what I would expect from a hotel that is supposed to be 4 star. |The pool area was a nice spot to sunbathe, and it was never a problem getting 2 sunbeds together, as people seemed to come for a couple of hours and then leave throughout the day. However, the pool itself looked really quite shabby. It looked like there was plaster missing, or badly filled in, all around the side of the pool. |You have to pay 'tourist tax' and the price you pay is more depending on the hotel rating, which is possibly why they have pushed up to a 4 star. In my opinion, the rooms and pool area need to be much improved to justify the 4 star rating. |I will again say that I can not fault he people working in this hotel, but there are improvements to be had in...
Read moreI recently just stayed 7 nights at Kosta palace city hotel. All I can say is this is NOT a 4-star hotel.|When we arrived we went to our room which was 227 on the second floor. HOW DISAPPOINTING. The bathroom toilet had scum marks all down the back of it. The shower head was not screwed into the wall properly and nearly coming off. It was also the smallest shower head I have ever seen with the worst pressure and temperature|settings(freezing cold or boiling hot). There was a random electrical switch in the shower which was dangerous. The screen of the shower wasn't even on the side of the shower head, so every time you shower the bathroom floods. Also the bathroom light switch flashed for 30 seconds every time I turned it on, it was a good job I don't have epilepsy.|There are no plug sockets next to the bed only. 2 in the whole room near the desk with one, just randomly placed on the wall so your item.is just dangling off the wall.|The beds were 2 single beds pushed together and separated at any slight movement.|I am appalled with the air conditioning. Although it was cool and kept the room refreshing it turned off on its own multiple times during the night leaving me to wake up in a sweat. It also smelt like raw sewage water randomly throughout the day.|The tv had one English Channel which wasn't even anything good to watch, all channels were German or Greek.|Balcony was a good size with a maiden. Good wardrobe only 3 hangers though.|Every night the area above us (which I believe to be the snack bit area made so much noise it kept us up. It sounded like they were dragging furniture around and jumping on the floor. This went on all day and night.|The walls are very very thin and can here people speaking next door.|During the night all you can hear is doors being slammed which will keep you up.|Breakfast was gorgeous and good food selection. Pool area was cute and caught a lot of sun however not a lot of sun beds and they queue at the door starting from before 10.|I tried the snack bar - WOULD NOT|RECOMMEND. I order one ham sandwich with cheese and lettuce which come with a side of crisp. No joke it took an hour. Everyone else who ordered food got served 10 minutes after they ordered but not me. It came out stale and did not even apologise for it being late. The lift is a bit sketchy and rattles a lot so just took the stairs. The outdoor bathrooms don't have locks on and are a bit scary too.|However I do have to say that it is in a brilliant location along the harbour with supermarkets, tourist shops, bars and restaurants plus the beach too.|Despite the hotel not being up to standard, there was gentlemen called Kostas who was absolutely brilliant. He checked us in so politely, answered any questions, greeted us everyday with a smile and helped us with our bags. He definitely deserves a raise as he is the best part of this hotel....
Read moreA Fantastic Stay with an Ideal Location and Excellent Service Our recent stay at this hotel was truly wonderful, and a huge part of its appeal is its prime location. Situated right by the harbor, it offers incredibly easy access to a variety of excellent restaurants, a market, and several beautiful beaches. We found it incredibly convenient to have so many options within a few minutes' walk. The bustling town center is also just a short 5-10 minute stroll away, making it effortless to explore the area's sights and sounds. This perfect location meant we spent less time traveling and more time enjoying our vacation. The hotel itself was great, particularly when it came to cleanliness and comfort. Our room was spotless, and we were very impressed by the housekeeping service, which diligently changed our bedsheets every single day. This attention to detail made a big difference and ensured a fresh and pleasant environment throughout our stay. Upon arrival, we did encounter a minor issue with our room, but the staff handled it with remarkable efficiency and kindness. They were extremely attentive and worked quickly to resolve the problem, which we greatly appreciated. Their professionalism and genuine concern for our comfort were a testament to their excellent customer service. The hotel also has a swimming pool, but we didn't get a chance to use it during our visit, so I can't comment on that amenity. We opted to have our breakfast in the comfort of our room each morning, as it was a more relaxing option for us. Overall, this hotel offers a superb experience. Its unbeatable location, combined with the clean and comfortable rooms and the exceptional staff, makes it a highly recommended choice for anyone visiting the area. We would definitely...
