Food 4/5, the food was among the best I've eaten on Kos. The portions were great for my wife and I, but I can imagine that for some they might be a bit small (if you're a big eater, ask what dishes have bigger portions! The staff will be happy to help you!)

Edit: food 5/5... We went to Alberto for a second time, and ordered a mix grill Alberto. Disregard my previous remark on portion size: we couldnt even finish it! :) just ask what to get if you're REALLY hungry!

Hospitality 5/5, the hosts were funny and helpful! They gave tips on where to go for fun and had some detailed insights for a lot of the places we were interested in. Great people to have a small conversation with.

Service 5/5, orders were taken swiftly, the food was served quickly and any inquiries were taken care of immediately.

Hygiene 5/5, unlike some other restaurants we've visited, this restaurant was very clean. No fishy smells whatsoever, you can just look into the kitchen and it's all pretty neat, and even the toilet smells nice (and let's face it, most of us have visited the toilet during dinner and returned to our table without an appetite. Not the case here!)

A cosy and romantic restaurant by the sea. About 10 tables outside so I recommend that you reserve a table if you want to sit outside. Very friendly and good service. The first of four restaurants that the staff poured the water for us which we liked and appreciated. Candles are lighted at every table after the sunset. The owners of the restaurant are three brothers and Anesti were the one who serves us tonight.

We recommend the Feta cheese in the oven for starter, Gyros plate with pork and for dessert the Baklava with ice cream and Alberto special, this two desserts are so big that you can share it for 2.

We appreciated that the staff Anesti took some minutes to speak with us. We spoke about many years ago in Kos, it was a lot of party and mostly younger people coming. Now its more people here to enjoy the greek food and relaxing instead of just party. When we asked for the bill he asked us if we liked someting to drink on the house. We eat so much food so we were satisfied for the evening and said no thanks.

I wish I read the bad reviews instead of only the good ones before coming here. My last night at the island and so far I had amazing experiences in every restaurant. However, tonight was so disappointing. The place is stunning, there is not doubt about that. And the staff (apart of the owner) were so friendly, trying to do what they could with the Two hands they have. It was pretty full but they didn’t stop taking still new tables. Waiting for the food was about 1h. Completely caos, because of the shortage of staff for so many tables (I don’t blame them, they were literally running/sweating from tables to kitchen!) But even with such nice and hard working staff, you can’t deliver a good service with so many tables and that little amount of staff. I was literally suffering for them. It just ruins the whole experience! The grilled calamari was without taste and so hard. Not even an apology for the delay, not even a complementary shot offer or dessert like in many places, even with such service. The only thing the owner was doing is be in charge of the bills. Clearly money-driven is his worry, rather than a good quality service. Such a shame with the...
