We visited SeaWavesCost for dinner with our children and a group of eight people. We ordered quite a lot and were looking forward to a nice evening. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing due to the attitude of the staff and the service in general.
Despite our large order, we were met with a surprisingly condescending tone when we kindly asked if we could get some bread or anything small while waiting – especially since the food was taking a long time. The response we received was simply, “If you order that much, it’s going to take time,” without any sign of hospitality or willingness to help.
It wasn’t the waiting time alone that bothered us – it was the dismissive way our request was handled. A little understanding or even a basic gesture like bringing some bread for the kids would have made a big difference.
The food was fine once it finally arrived, but unfortunately, the service left a lasting negative impression. We hope the management reflects on this, especially when hosting families or...
Read moreThe location was fab pulled up a seat and just listened to the sea. That’s as far as the positives can go. Especially comparing the places we had eaten this holiday. We have paid far less for far more better quality food. First problem arose when we walked in and all the staff were busy dealing with an incident. Not their fault but probably a sign we should have left. We ordered fish salad as a starter. It was Taramasalata but didn’t say that so without any bread or prompting out came just a bowl of dip. It then took 15 minutes to get someone’s attention for some bread. Mains were swordfish steak - a little bland served with 2 cubes of grilled potato and barely a spoon of vegetables. Then prawn Saganaki - 4 prawns in a tomato sauce served in a frying pan? With no side to accompany. Good job we had ordered that bread earlier. Wasn’t the greatest meal we had but was at least edible so couldn’t give less...
Read moreWe were really looking forward to dining here having visited numerous times when it was Boats On The Coast and always had an amazing experience. We were so disappointed. The menu is micro and very limited, especially the starters. We chose mussels and calamari as mains, no starters. My husbands calamari was "ok" however whilst the mussel meat was amazing, the broth was like dishwater and the peppers and onion were raw and hadn't been cooked down. The other frustration was that we had to wait 45 mins for these 2 dishes and only 2 other tables occupied. At no point did any of the passing staff come and speak about what the delay was..we gave our feedback to the waiter and a complimentary dessert was offered however we just wanted to leave. Does the new look work ? Not for us sadly and there are other seafood and fish restaurants on the beach that offer so much more...
