This has to be the best place I've ever stayed in in Greece.||||It's run by 2 amazing sisters and their husbands who's sole purpose is to make sure you're enjoying your holiday. You always read that nothing is too much trouble but here that means just that. ||||When we arrived we were greeted with a glass if home made lemonade and a little talk of the island. Once we were relaxed and hydrated, and ||although this having met the 2 couples, we were shown our room. I had booked a junior suite and our room, 301, was overlooking the pool and pool bar. I must say that noise was never a problem. Anyway, our room was beautiful. The room has a high, steeple shaped ceiling which added to the wow factor as well as giving more room for the air to circulate. We were shown how to use the air conditioning, which was included in the price as was the safe, and then the shower. Now usually in Greece you get poor power but not here. There's a double shower head, 1 being a large rainfall one and the other a normal one. He explained we needed to let it run a few minutes and then the hot water kicks in. Wow, lovely hot water no matter what time you used it. ||The bed was so comfortable, not like sleeping on the usual cheap hard mattresses, this was amazing. There's an hairdryer in the room which even has a defused and it has good power. There's a small kitchen team hidden behind what looks like wardrobe doors and it has the basics. ||If I was being really picky I would say that the room needs more drawers as there's only 2 and the safe isn't bolted down. But that's it. It was so clean and the ladies took pride in their work, you could tell, it was spotless and cleaned to an exceptional standard everyday.|||||| The hotel is situated across from a nature reserve which the family has put out some hammocks, and to lie in these and just listen to all the different birds and waterfowl is the most relaxing thing ever. Apart from the "fire alarm" bird who calls for a mate constantly, and his call sounds like a faulty fire alarm, but he's only heard at night. There's a small beach approximately 200 meters away and it does have sunbeds and brollies but only 10 so it's so peaceful. You will need beach shoes because like most of the island it's pebbles. ||||The pool is very clean and there was only on our last day that there was no beds, but we could have used the ones in the pool but the beach was fine by us. ||||Try the food, but get ready to have large portions put in front of you. We ate here and no complaints at all. The food was delicious, and nice and hot. Greek night the food was amazing from the seasoned dough balls to the sea bream. All fantastic. ||||As you look around the apartments you will see lots of little touches from welcome pots/candle holders which look handpainted to lace and ribbons tied to the trees. ||||There's a mix of nationalities and overyone has a smile, it's that sort of place. Would I go back to these apartments? Yes we'll be back, how could we not after finding a...
Read moreBooked to stay here august 2023. We booked to family rooms which included two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room with kitchen. When we arrived our friends where shown to their room which was as stated. When I was shown our room it was nothing like what we booked. It was one bedroom, one bathroom, living room with kitchen. Two camp beds had been made up in the living room. When I questioned the owner she said it was a better room. I said no we wanted and paid for the same as our friends. She was not having it at all and said there had been a mix up with booking.com some months ago. When my husband returned he went to see her with Vik who had booked the two rooms. Our room was at the end of the apartment block and we’ll away from reception. However all I could hear was the owner screaming at vik and my husband. She would not listen to their requests to send the email where booking.com changed the booking. She was extremely rude and vile to vik and my husband. We contacted booking.con and they said it’s not the first time they’d had complaints about this hotel. When we returned home booking.com stated the owner agreed to refund us the difference in room costs. That was on the 17 august whilst we were still there. But she has never refunded anything at all. I’m annoyed that booking.con haven’t intervened and removed her from their site as she doesn’t deserve to have people stay there when she’s so rude and does t refund the money she owes. A further two friends came to stay with us that week and their room was awful. Leaking fridge with water all over the floor. No lights in the bathroom, room was dark and smelt of damp. The room we were given was ok, the cleaners came into us each day, but not to the other two rooms. Air con worked but the shower was a nightmare. The tap to the shower continually shook and made a huge amount of noise. There was no hot water after 4pm. The damp beds were really uncomfortable for our 13 and 16 years old. Hence we booked the biggest rooms so they’d have a proper bed. The bar was open during the day but if you wanted food between 5 until 8 you had to wait until the staff showed up. There’s no entertainment here and they play the same music each day. We cooked our own food as there’s a market down the road, bought our own drinks to the pool and one night did a mezze with all our friends. There is a hotel across the road the Olags. They served food, have entertainment and you can use their pool. Much better atmosphere than Olags. Staff are extremely friendly too and it’s only a 3 minute walk away. One thing I’d say is don’t let the owners screaming and shouting put you off complaining if you need to. One couple continually complained about their fridge leaking and all she did was give them extra towels to soak up the water after shouting at them. The young couple seemed taken back and shocked but didn’t insist something be done. Kos is a beautiful place just a shame owners like this one spoil it with their horrible...
