Just come back from a 7 night stay in Kalloudis. We were greeted at reception when we checked in. The hotel had a nice and clean outdoor pool along with a snack bar. There were plenty of sun loungers round the pool. The room was very spacious which had 3 single beds, a large freestanding fridge freezer, wardrobes, a dressing table with small mirror and a balcony which overlooked the salt lake. We got some amazing photos from our balcony of the sunset. The shower was rather small and outdated, however we always had hot water. We chose not to purchase the air con for €50 per week, however we did get bitten by mosquitoes on a night as we left the balcony door open. Wi-fi is available in the reception area only. The hotel was situated on the main strip in Tigaki which was walking distance to the supermarket, restaurants and bars. We hired bikes for a cost of €5 per day per bike which included insurance and cycled on the scenic route (a straight road) to Kos Town where we went to the Harbour. I lost my phone on the way back to the hotel and luckily enough a gentleman answered the phone who spoke Greek. Luckily our receptionist spoke Greek and was able to translate to us where to meet him which meant we got the phone back. The beach is walking distance and we paid €5 per Sun bed which we rented for the day. We were also touched by the amount of fruit trees that surrounded our hotel which added a special touch. Overall we had an amazing stay and was definitely worth the...
Read moreDecent place to stay, in centre of resort and very handy for numerous Restaurants, Shops and Bars, about 10 mins stroll to the beach, bus stop outside to Kos town. Inside the staff are perfect for us, not over friendly, just polite and leave you to enjoy your stay, all speak good English, Pool is very nice, the nearby bar area you can get basic snacks and drinks, we saw very few using it though, free towels they provide are useful, the sunbeds are basic but ok, you have your breakfast here, it never changes, Eggs, Greek bacon, chipolata sausage, baked beans, that was your hot stuff, then cold ham cheese, little bit of cake and biscuits,,that was about it, but hey it was tasty enough. Now the room, plenty big enough, bathroom needed upgrade though, shower head constantly falling off socket with water everywhere, and shower curtain useless, TV no English channels but no issue for us, distinct drain smell every so often from bathroom area but wasn't that bad just found it a bit strange? Slept well, though beds a but hard but with Aircon slept really well, paid for safety box 20 Euro , bizarrely every time you opened it you had to get a master key from Reception as well?? As 2 keys to open?? Annoying when they often went awol from their desk!|Summing up Hotel needs upgrading and modernising, and finally the Room cleaning? In a weeks stay they cleaned once! When you can't flush paper in the toilet that is unacceptable and must be addressed...
Read moreAfter seeing bad reviews and having the bad impression before I came and being apprehensive. I came and was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are clean and tidy. Room service is good. Comes three times a week for bedding and fresh towels. Friendly staff. Little to no critters- the odd ant here or there (to be expected in Greece). We stayed in a two-three person studio apartment- Air conditioning (at an added price on arrival) technically speaking the accommodation is on the cheaper side- so AC additionally is neither here or there. The pool area is decent, water seems on the cooler side- but nice in the August heat to chill down a little. I think in terms of improvements- the mattresses could be comfier- however they do also offer duvet quilts in the cupboard which I am guessing would provide extra padding for those that need it- personally, I don’t find the mattresses much of an issue due to my body type, other people with different body types may struggle. Additionally- they don’t provide hairdryers in the rooms, but have decent sized fridge freezer, kettle, hob & microwave/ovens which are all clean, mixture of pans, plates, cups and glasses. Supermarkets close by, bars and restaurants close by. Plenty of choices. Beaches within walking distance & a nice view of mountains/hills from our balcony, view of the pool and surrounding bars. You simply get what you pay for with this...
