Curious about lack of similar critical reviews as the hotel is in my view not great value for money or in line with what it charges (listed price is 140€/night). A few examples: 1) Bathroom is literally 2x2 square meters, you can barely enter as the door almost hits the shower limit. It’s without a proper sized shower, as you can barely stand in it. It’s clear why there are no bathroom pics in the online website, I have included one for reference. 2) Heating pipes are left protruding from the floor, never seen that in other accommodation, not professional. 3) No sound isolation, you can hear kids from rooms next door or cars from street as the entrance door is full wooden. The balcony door is aluminium though so I don’t understand the inconsistency which makes sleeping challenging. It was also not communicated beforehand. 4) While rooms are clean, the room service is inconsistent. For example, one day the room service knocked around 10am and immediately unlocked to get in cause she would be “wrapping up her shift”, so wanted to fix the room before leaving. Not how it’s supposed it’s supposed to work. Also we were left with a single bedsheet for a double bed. 5) Even the slightest extra effort from the owners would be appreciated for the price asked, the room has a 20 year old hairdryer which smells burned and not even a Nespresso machine with 2 pods for a morning coffee. Obviously no welcome treat was provided at any day. 6) Furniture and bathroom equipment has seen its best days, as you can spot in pics. A bit random, worn out and not painted recently or taken care of. The pros are the excellent location as u are next to everywhere and the massive municipal parking next to it. The rooms are clean and the air conditioning works, beds have been upgraded somewhat recently (but the noise remains an issue for sleep). When I shared the above with the owners, I received the argument “Have you seen the prices in other places in Milos?”. If that meets your expectations for your holiday accommodation, fair enough.

It is the third time that I stay at Iliopetra, and it still surprises me how great this place is. The owners go well beyond their duty to accommodate us - from finding the room that best fits our needs (and those of our friends who decide to join us last minute), to calling their contacts at different beaches in the morning to see which ones have the calmest waters due to changes in wind direction. The rooms are equipped with closets, tables, mini fridge, kitchen utensils, mosquito repellant, A/C, hairdryer, and they all feature wooden blinds for the sun and cute balconies! Located on a side road, the center of Adamas (where all the restaurants and the coffee shops are located) is less than a 5min walk away, but you get absolute quietness at night, and a cool sea breeze at all times. There is a bakery two doors down that stays open pretty much all the time, and a supermarket next to it with fresh produce and very good prices. I almost did not want to write a review for this place for fear of it being crowded in the future, but I owe it to Julia (the owner) to express my gratitude for everything she has done to ensure we have the best time every time we...

We stayed for 8 days at Iliopetra in August and we liked a lot the kindness of the staff, the daily cleaning and availability to frequently change bath towels and bed sheets.||However, the room is quite small, the whole bathroom is as big as a shower box.||The location is near the port but in the middle of a car parking lot which affects a bit the view.||We understand that it was high season and that Milos is relatively more expensive than other islands, but 120 EUR p/n is a bit too pricey for what Iliopetra offers. We paid less for larger rooms or even apartments in Lefkada, Paros, Santorini,...
