Aragosta Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Municipality of Milos

We visited Milos during the off-season (mid-late October). Although we opted to make our own coffee most mornings, we did visit both Ice Monkey and Aragosta Coffee Shop for coffee-based drinks (cappuccinos, cold/iced lattes, iced mocchas). Although Ice Monkey receives a lot of business from being on the main road, we preferred Aragosta Coffee Shop. They have a larger selection of drinks (options for warm or cold/iced) and we liked the quiet atmosphere off the busy road. There was only one barista working and all of the drinks are made from freshly pulled espresso shots - just a reminder that this always requires patience on the customer's end (especially when customers come in with large orders). That being said, we had no wait and the drinks were made quickly! ...

Worst service I have ever experienced in a coffee shop. The place was empty, we wanted 2 coffees to go after our swim. We went in and asked for a late with a single shot. The bartender laughed. She told us that they don't serve with single shot. We explained that we will pay the price they have on the catalogue just needed single shot. She rudely replied that it's not possible and that she can not make single shot. We thought that it was a prank. We politely explained that Late coffee is normally made with single or double espresso shot depend on customer needs. She refused to make it and the other waitress was laughing. Worst customer experience... Untrained stuff. No need for such service for this...

Café Aragosta was close to our hotel in Milos, so we visited it every morning for a small breakfast. It also has quite a neat outdoor area. The selection of coffee and other drinks is good. They have also sandwiches with different toppings, typical Greek pastries, and various other snacks such as granola bars. It would be nice if there was a larger selection of vegetarian Sandwiches.

The staff was neither noticeably friendly nor unfriendly, but rather neutral. The prices are good and reasonable for what you get. All in all nothing special.

For anyone staying nearby, it is a good and quick option for breakfast. However, from our point of view, there seem to be many comparable cafes...
