Rating: 1/5 – Avoid at ALL costs.
My recent stay at this property with my wife, 2-year-old son, mother, and her partner was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. The photos online are completely misleading and do not reflect the reality of the space in any way. What was shown as a clean, modern, and cozy retreat turned out to be outdated, poorly maintained, and frankly, dirty. There were even metal pipes protruding from the floor, which wasn’t just unsightly—it was downright dangerous, especially with a young child in tow. To top it off, our room didn’t match a single photo advertised online.
One of the most frustrating aspects was the shower. It was so ridiculously small that anyone who isn’t petite would struggle to even fit through the door, let alone use it comfortably. The cramped space made basic hygiene an ordeal, something no guest should have to endure.
When I reached out to the owner to address these serious issues, they were dismissive and refused to take any responsibility for the blatant false advertising. My concerns were brushed aside, with no solution, compensation, or even an apology offered.
If you’re thinking of booking this place, do yourself a favor and reconsider. There are plenty of better options where the hosts are honest and genuinely care about their guests’ experiences. This stay was nothing short of a disaster, and I would never recommend it to anyone. Avoid...
Read moreTwo good things can be said about Milos Bay Suites: the receptionist, Lia, is exceptional for her enthusiasm and help; and, it has a lovely garden with a pleasant sitting area.||From there, it goes downhill. The entire building consists of painted concrete (in some places, badly stained). There's not a single piece of wall art, nor rug, nor anything that conveys being in Greece. It's just hard concrete. Very functional, very institutional, and not charming in the way I've become accustomed to after 50 years of frequently visiting Greece! ||The bathrooms are also more than a little wonky. They have no exhaust fans but are ventilated by one small window (approx 30x15 cm) that only opens part-way. Of course, they always smell moldy or worse. (Also, a word of caution: the shower doors in some rooms are so small that even normal-sized people have a hard time squeezing into the shower. I'm 1.75m and 76 kgs and it was a very tight squeeze.)||My sister awoke from a nap to a cloud of nauseating sewer gas that could be smelled at the far end of garden. (It also made her temporarily sick.) Fortunately, she could be moved to another room -- but not for the rest of our stay, and the owner was more concerned about accommodating arriving guests than making sure my family, which had rented three rooms for a week, was suitably...
Read moreWe stayed there for 5 days on their Sea view suite. We found the establishment really easily and it was a mere 10 minutes walk from the port which is really convenient. The gentleman at the reception was extremely helpful, polite and informative with all our needs and we were even checked in earlier than normal since our room was ready. The room was sufficiently equipped with kitchenware in case you are inclined to cook there , there was a midi-fridge . The Aircon was working properly contrary to most hotels in Cyclades. Hot water and amenities along with a modern shower made the room for us. On the con side the bathroom door was a little tricky to open and close but you would get the hang of it after a while and the biggest disadvantage for us was the poor sound proofing of the rooms ,we were woken up many times over by the ruckus of the other rooms and even the neighboring hotel guests and we could even hear other guests taking a shower on the next room as if they were in ours.
Overall the place is indeed worthy of its price and ratings and I would stay...
