I think this is my favourite restaurant in Milos so far and I clearly think they deserve Michelin stars.
Here are all the great things I think they are doing amazing.
1.They were accommodating for my coeliac disease, and they had gluten-free food items. One of their servers was aware of what gluten-free meant and informed me on the spot what dishes were indeed gluten-free. Even though they didn't have any symbols on their menu, I can confirm that I didn't get any pain after eating and I went a second time, which very thankfully was again pain-free.
They are very well-organised, which I feel that I love. A different person is taking your orders and bringing the bill, and different people bring the food and pick up the dishes.
I think the food was incredible. I found that the food was so incredibly flavourful. The dolmadakia are the absolute best I have ever had in my life so far and the stuffed tomato, and pepper with the potatoes I think are masterful and a piece of art. When one visits I would undeniably recommend for people to get those.
The staff, servers were very friendly and very professional. We still made conversation when paying the bill. I think they are all very nice.
I think the location is great. It's right next to the sea and very centrally.
Great work to all the Trapatselis team and I would undeniably...
Read moreThe food here is good, the problem is the service. 28 years I come to this island, many in this restaurant, even if some years ago we stopped still for a service problem. This time I went to ask if it was possible to book a table for 9 but they said absolutely no, but that they would have arranged if I come and wait the queue. So I did, but when it was my turn they absolutely couldn't move a table of 3 meters (really, 3 meters) to join it to another and let me and my friends have dinner together for my last night in Greece. They proposed to eat separated. This, despite there was all the space and the possibility to move it, and I would have gladly helped. It's just a matter of willing and ability to treat clients. Few minutes later, while I was leaving, they actually joined a smaller table to make one for 6 (but this one was only one meter far instead of 3, so I understand it's totally a different effort euh). So, as there are many more restaurants where food is as good as, or better, but surely service is far better, I will just avoid this place from now on. (Half an hour later we found a place making us a table for 9, which later became a table for 11 during the dinner, and they were happy to help us - this...
Read moreWorst restaurant we've visited in Greece so far. The greek salad and the auberginie dip were okay but the main dishes were unacceptable. The fried calamari (12€) were uneatable: the product was not fresh nor well cooked. Moreover, the tempura was awful. All in all, extremely dry and hard. We really couldn't eat them (first time that ever happened to us) and explained so to the bar attender but they didn't bother to do anything about it. They still included it to the bill, without even apologizing for it even though we had not eaten more than 1 calamari to try it out. The grilled shrimps (17€) were also extremely bad. They were very dry, probably not fresh either, and most likely overcooked (kind of burned, actually). We finished them not to return two main dishes but would have rather not done that. Overall, we paid 29€ for main courses which were not worth anything. We would never go back to this restaurant. Service was also quite bad in the sense of very unexperienced and 'could not care less about our feedback or try to make it up at all'. Very sorry to leave such a feedback. First time ever but that was really a pity, especially for such a great country with...
