Irene's Residence — Hotel in Municipality of Mykonos

I have booked Irene's Residence on Mykonos for 4 nights for almost 200 Euro per night. This is a rate u can easily book a true 5 star hotel elsewhere. ||||Already in the email correspondence before arrival, this place showed maximum arrogance and disregard for me as a customer. ||||I asked the place to help me out and just receive a parcel for me in case it should arrive before I arrive, and then just give me upon checkin (I am on a multi-months trip in Greece and had to let send something by mail to me)||||Konstantino (with exclamaation mark in his email "Konstantino !") showed absolutely zero effort to help me out. ||||I am, as a professional traveller who spends 70% of the year in good hotels all over the world, honestly very very surprized and absolutely not used to such bad and hostile behaviour despite heavy room rates. ||||Now that Covid restrictions are lifted and they are overrun by tourists, they rip off people with heavy charges and show you their true and real face. ||||While Covid was a big issue, this year and also last year, I travelled extensively, for many months in Greece and only met extemely friendly, thankful, helpful and  accomodating people. ||||This place is now the total opposite. ||||My suggestion: put your money where they are worth it to get feeded and enriched. ||||You can see their true face when they have lots of business, not when they are in dire need of you. ||||This place has truly not the right attitude towards its guests and is not worth to be supportes by us, travellers....

Myself and 3 girlfriends stopped at Irene’s place for 4 nights last week. |We had the best time in Mykonos and were very pleased with our accommodation. |Maria arranged transport to collect us from the airport to take us to the apartment, we were then given our keys and everything was explained to us. |Maria and Chris were very pleasant, informative and were responded quickly via WhatsApp. |The location of the apartment is central, it is a 10 minute walk to the 180 sunset bar which was perfect. 30 minute walk to the main town, 15 minute drive from the airport. However be mindful that the roads are narrow with no path therefore we mainly relied on transport to take us to the centre (which is costly). |The room suited our needs perfectly (kitchen area, beds, bathroom with shower and large area to get ready), it was clean and spacious. |The outdoor area had a table and chairs which looked out onto a beautiful flower wall. |The pool area was large, clean and had plenty of comfy sun beds and parasols. |Overall we had the best holiday in Mykonos and would definitely recommend to others to stop at Irene’s residence if you want a well located budget friendly apartment (with a pool). The only minor downfall we found was that there was only one full length mirror in the apartment which is a pain when 4 girls are trying to get ready lol! But that is if we are being picky. |All 4 of us would definitely stop here again if we return to Mykonos,...

Just returned from a week at Irenes residence and was absolutely delighted with our stay. Location is out of town and a 15 min walk downhill to main town, can be tricky underfoot and at night and very steep on way back up. However, Chris and Maria are the ultimate hosts and nothing was an issue for them. Pre-arranging transfers, car hire, advice and ferrying us around Mykonos was no issue to them. Pool area is lovely, pool heated and clean and plenty of loungers and seating for the size of the complex. We had a 3 bedroom apartment with stunning views over to Delos and the most amazing sunsets every night - best I’ve ever seen! Some local eateries and also a bakery, butcher, fish market, fruit shop and some reasonably priced eateries within 150m. Would definitely recommend Irenes residence and will come back here one day - was a fantastic week and weather was very kind. Huge thank you to Chris and Maria for their assistance all week - great job guys!...
