Oregano Cook & Grill — Restaurant in Municipality of Mykonos

After checking in and a quick stop at the market for essentials. We decided to stop across the street to inquire about takeout. I was the first to go in and sat at a table to look at the menu, which was huge. I laughed when the waiter came by as I was looking through and said it's huge, lots of options. Then he pointed out that they do have what I would call a hot bar inside that you could choose from. I finally asked about takeaway, and he said yes and directed me inside to the hot bar. I sat a bit and texted my family to come on in because they needed to see what the menu offered. The menu is Greek and English, with descriptions of each dish. The only thing missing are pictures if you prefer them. After browsing, I decided to go inside to see what they had to offer. The waiter saw me and kindly explained what everything was as we decided. He told the ladies behind the counter what we wanted and told us to go ahead and have a seat. He would let us know when everything was ready. They packed it all and ensured we had everything we needed for dinner. I truly wish I had gotten his name. Lord knows he didn't have to tend to us the way he did. Much appreciated. Stumbled on this place on our stay in Mykonos. It was very busy and filled with locals which we thought made it the perfect choice. The staff were very friendly. The dishes did come out at different times, basically when one dish was ready it was served which meant we were eating at different times which is not a huge deal. The food was good. Portions were massive. My Husband ordered the meatball starter and it come with chips and would have been the size of a large main dish. The down side for us (which I suppose is pretty common in Greece) was the cats. We were sitting by the windows which were large sliding doors and were partially open. The cats were attempting to jump up onto the table and usually when you move your feet and make a loud noise they would scarper but not these ones. My husband tried to scare them away but they would just hiss and attack his leg with their claws. Luckily he had long trousers on. No matter how many times we tried we kept getting a paw up on our table which does not make for the most pleasant dining experience. Especially with my allergy to cats which made me feel uneasy. Ordered from Wolt to get food from this restaurant. Delivery said about 40-45 mins. Order came approx 1hr and 30mins. Had to follow up on the restaurant several times. We ordered before 9pm, maybe around 0845pm. Food came at 1025 pm. How horrendous. When the food came, it is cold and not only that, one of our 2mains is missing. Can you imagine that? You waited for an hour and a half for your order only to find out that one of them are missing. We are not talking about a massive order. It was just 2 appetizers and 2 mains. How ridiculous? We rang the restaurant once we realized our order is not complete. He said he is going to send it in 5 minutes. Delivery guy rang us at 1102pm, half an hour apart from the initial delivery. We are already in bed at that time with an unsatisfied stomach. Wolt wouldnt even do anything. They wouldnt even refund for a super late delivery and cold food not to mention the worst customer service. Nothing was refunded in this order. Worst experience ever.
