Naxos DownTown Apartments & Suites — Hotel in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

Without writing an essay I want to sum up what a great stay we had at Naxos Downtown Apartments. We chose a larger suite than we needed for two of us but we loved the little terrace and the size of the apartment in a central but quiet part of town. The beds and pillows were super comfortable and the daily cleaning service was much appreciated. What makes these apartments so special though is the owner Zack. This is indeed why I chose them because of the already great review of the service he offers. But I have to stress how incredible Zack is. You leave feeling like you found a friend. He was great at keeping in contact and was kind enough to let us into the apartment as soon as we got off the ferry which was very appreciated. He provided lots of recommendations on things to do, places to eat, places to drink, best beaches etc. He also checked in to see how our stay was going. We actually had an issue which meant my husband had to go to the local hospital for some treatment one evening. Zack was in constant touch to check how he was doing and, had it not been for the fact that he was out of town that evening dealing with personal matters, I know he would have come to the hospital to keep me company while I waited. We stayed here for one night and we cannot be more complimentary of the welcome that we were given when we arrived. We were greeted by Zaxos who communicated brilliantly and gave us lots of excellent recommendations in the area-- we went to a few places that were all great.

The location is a short walk from plenty of good restaurants, the ferry port, and the Temple of Apollo. The suites are not road facing so it is always quiet in the area.

We stayed in a bhdget suite. The room was slightly let down by cleanliness-- there was quite a lot of hair all over the room, amongst the bedsheets, in the bathroom. The room also smelled nice upon arrival but this was masking a not very pleasant smell that was more apparent a few hours after our arrival. Additionally the bathroom door is frosted glass and there is a significant gap around the edge of the door. As much as I love my partner we felt we couldn't get much privacy.

Overall I do recommend staying here, and I am confident these issues aren't longstanding but it is important we flag minor issues that didn't make...
