Hellen Studios — Hotel in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

We stayed at Helen studios for 14 nights with our 1 year old baby. ||||Actually we had a pretty bad start here, because when we arrived, tired after travelling from Norway with a baby, they told us the room was not ready until the day after! The reason they gave us was that the recent guests had been in a motorcycle-accident and were not able to move when they were suppose to. We felt sorry for the poor and hurt guy, so we approved to stay at a room close by just for one night (who was terrible). They also promised that the room should be ready the next morning. When we came the next morning at the time we were told, the room was still not ready! Now they told us that the recent guests "fall asleep" so they did not left in time. We sat outside waiting for the room to be ready, and then we met the "poor guy in a motorcycle accident". Yeah, he was obviously totally FINE, and we are pretty sure the room was double booked. ||||But whatever, we got the room in the end, and it was absolutly beautiful! It is in the third floor though, so you should not have problem with stairs. But it was so worth it; it had a nice view, big balcony, very clean, space enough for a babycot, close to the beach, good price, and the service was excellent! This place was incredible! I stayed here while I was in Naxos June 2022 and really enjoyed myself. Clean, well decorated, and the hosts are SO hospitable! They gave me excellent recommendations on where to eat, beaches they love, and how to get around the island. The room was so beautiful and I spent so much time out on the balcony. It is on a quiet street (at least it was quiet when I was there early in the season, mid June), just a few minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the main town. It is also right by the agios giorgios, but I preferred other beaches in Naxos. I definitely recommend staying here! The only thing that was a slight downside was that there was no shower curtain so water got onto the floor when showering. Other than that, absolute perfection staying at this place. Cannot emphasize how incredibly kind and welcoming the family is that runs this place. We were really disappointed when we were offered a different accommodation from the one we booked. We were told that for one night someone else was still in “our” room. The owner is also operating some rooms across the street and the building is not renovated since the 90s- at least. That is were we were out for the first night. That room was significantly lower value than the one we booked. Owner did not offer any compensation. Communication with him is also not seamless, as he does not pick up the phone most of the time. He does call back though at some point. On the flip side, the second room was very clean. The pictures have nothing to do with the place though, nothing inside the room resembles the pictures. Especially the bathroom. The little fountain that you can see on the pictures is from the Naxos Resort next door which you can see from the balcony.
