Important Note: Be cautious when booking, as there are two hotels within a 7-minute walk of each other with nearly identical names: Naxos RESORT Beach Hotel (this one) and Naxos Beach Hotel. I unfortunately confused the two and ended up booking a different hotel than the rest of my group. According to the receptionist at Naxos Beach Hotel, this mix-up happens frequently. This property was apparently once called Naxos Royal, which is still visible throughout the hotel’s outdated branding.
As for the stay itself, I would give this hotel a solid 3 stars, matching its official rating class. The best part is its location—just steps from the beach and a short walk into Naxos town. Beyond that, there wasn’t much that stood out as exceptional.
The room I stayed in was noticeably outdated and looked nothing like the photos shown online. While checking in, I overheard another guest at the front desk expressing the same concern. The staff explained that only part of the hotel has been recently renovated, and unfortunately, not all guests are placed in those updated rooms. If you do choose to stay here, I recommend specifically requesting a renovated room at the time of booking or check-in.
While the room seemed generally clean, there were concerning details—like a shower curtain with visible mold/mildew, which raises questions about the overall cleanliness. Additionally, the balcony door had only one sheer curtain, while a second curtain rod—likely intended for a blackout curtain—was empty. This meant there was no way to fully block light or ensure privacy from other looking in.
On the positive side, the staff were friendly and helpful, the grounds were well maintained, and the pool area was large and enjoyable. The outdoor pool bar was also a nice touch and stayed open fairly late for guest convenience.
All in all, while this hotel isn’t terrible, it’s not particularly memorable either. If you're visiting the area, you might want to explore other nearby options—or at least confirm you're getting an updated room—before...

Read moreLocation was wonderful at the end of the port, more private, but very easy access to all stores and restaurants. The breakfasts were out of this world. The pool, although much smaller than the photos were still exceedingly nice to swim in the rooms were very clean. The staff was excellent. I chose this resort at the last minute and I am so happy I did. A few important standouts. - The front desk staff woman Rania -I cannot express enough how kind, considerate, and professional she was. I came to this island with my very close friend and her disabled daughter - my friend lost her husband three weeks ago to a very aggressive cancer, and I wanted to treat her to a handful of days of healing and restoration Rania knew a bit of this story and showed such great compassion and care for the three of us There was one negative experience, and that is with the massage therapist hired to be available to the hotel guests. Mikhail with Healing Art Massage My friend and her daughter had never received a massage, so I gifted them. I also wanted one for myself as I had a very tired, achy body. he had an extremely dismissive bedside manner. So much so that I did not feel comfortable, going forward with my own massage. I wrote a review on his Facebook page and the next morning he sought me out and came aggressively to my breakfast table, confronting me about my review . I was so shaken and crying - I went to the staff. Both Rania and the hotel manager were sincerely concerned and apologetic. I hope he never does that to any other guest again and quite frankly, I think he is a deficit to an otherwise perfect,...
