Kolona Studios — Hotel in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

We stayed in one of the studios (no 6) for 11 days. We had one small terrace with great view on the beach of Mikri Vigla just one step from the beach and that was it. The first impression of the inside was a simple room with two single beds a kitchen table and a kitchenette. But the next hours and days we discover that things weren't as we expected. There was no air-condition, the bathroom didn't have a curtain and the plum-pings where damaged so we had to mop over and over again every time we wanted to have a bath, there was no bathroom ammentities (beside a small soap and one toilet paper every 3 or 4 days), the mattress was hard and uncomfortable, the tv wasn't working at all and other things like no waste bin the room, but the worst of all was that they "cleaned" the room and changing towels every 4 days. If you need a wi-fi connection you ll have to go to the owners restaurant. Unfortunately we couldn't found another studio available for so many days in August so we had to stay there! When we asked for small discount for the whole stay- because we refused to pay for the facilities we didn't have as the website were promising- the owner was very rude and unwilling to listen by saying " Miss, we don't run a hotel but studios and if you don't like it then you have to leave,so take it o r leave it"!!! It was a bad experience for us and that's sad because although the view is beautiful and the rooms have potentials to be really nice it seems that the owners want to manage their studios with the least cost and the best profit they can achieve wiithout being professionals. So for us that choice wasn't value for money at all and we surely don't...

We spent 2 weeks in Kolona Studios & really enjoyed it.||Most Studios enjoy sea view - partially, completely, on one side or both side.||We did not have the best view, but it also meant less exposure to the wind and less direct sun on the terrace. The best views mean the winds blow straight on at 20 kts+...||||The Kolona family was always nice, smiling & willing to help for anything. They also run the local supermarket, obviously very helpful! Most fruits and vegetables are grown locally, so you can enjoy fresh food at maturity !||||Location is just 20 meters from the beach at the southern end of the beach.||Most people come here for kitesurf and windsurf as it's a great spot. || ||Overall, th room was clean, furniture was good & conveniant, beds were good, the kitchenette was simple...

Despite a beautiful location||Horrible experience:||- At reception, I forgot to hand over the keys and had to ask again||- Absolutely undrinkable water and bad smell||- Defective electrical panel and dangerous connections. tripped: sockets safety concerns||- poorly designed shower without curtain: flooding, water level pressure problem. toilet flush with leak like everything else in very poor condition||- no toilet paper or washing-up liquid provided: it’s very stingy. All cutlery is missing: 1 fork and 1 spoon for 4 people…||- deplorable neighborhood promiscuity imposed by neighbors without clothes on each side, all in front of the eyes of our children||- archaic, extremely hard bedding, dirty and outdated mattresses: back pain every night||- arrival of cockroaches in the bathroom every morning with insects and bedbugs||We had lots of bites and itches on our backs||Impossible to give 0/5: 1 is already too good an assessment||My wise advice: run away 😊||————————-||||Malgré un bel emplacement||Horrible expérience :||- A l’accueil oubli de remise des clés qu’il a fallu redemander||- Eau absolument imbuvable et mauvaise odeur||- Tableau électrique défectueux et branchements dangereux . disjoncte : prises soucis de sécurité||- douche sans rideau mal conçue : inondation, problème de pression niveau eau. chasse d’eau wc avec fuite comme tout le reste en très mauvais état||- pas de mise à disposition de papier toilette ni produit vaisselle : c’est très radin. Il manque tous les couverts 1 fourchette et 1 cuillère pour 4 personnes …||- voisinage déplorable promiscuité imposé des voisins sans vêtements de chaque côté le tout sous les yeux de nos enfants||- literie archaïque hyper dure matelas sales et hors d’âge: mal de dos à chaque nuit||- arrivée de cafards dans la salle de bain chaque matin avec insectes et punaises de lit||Nous avons eu plein de piqûres et démangeaisons dans le dos||Impossible de mettre 0/5 : 1 est déjà une trop belle appréciation||Mon conseil...
