Litsa Apartments Chora Naxos — Hotel in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

We recently stayed at this property and, unfortunately, our experience didn’t live up to the expectations set by the listing’s photographs. The images online depicted a modern, spacious, and well-maintained property, but the reality was quite different.

Upon arrival, it was clear that the photographs bore no resembelence to the property's actual current state. For example there was a giant rusty satellite dish on the terrace that had been edited out of one of the photographs and strangely around 20-25 large plastic water bottles which the host explained was to scare cats away which clearly didnt work and just served to ruin your photographs.

The stylish furniture shown in the photos had been replaced with cheap plastic chairs, we later saw the chairs in the photos downstairs at the hosts other apartment. There was no dressing on the bed. The decor was worn, and the whole place clearly hadn't been updated since the 1970's. Even the front door had holes you can see through. The bathroom, in particular, was very outdated and in need of renovation. You have to sit down in a tiny bucket like bath to shower and the hot water was dangerously hot. Any mistakes whilst sitting down would easily of led to being scalded. The kitchenette was so outdated with a strange smell that we refused to use it. It was simply an added on shack with a 1970's fridge, rusty hob and plastic table with a modern nespresso machine on which we didn't use as the smell was so off putting.

However, I must mention that the view from the property was indeed lovely, as described. It was the one redeeming feature of our stay. The surrounding area was peaceful and offered a nice escape from the hustle and bustle. Additionally, the host was lovely and very accommodating, which made the stay a bit more pleasant despite the issues. She did however ask us to give a 5 star review which we feel perhaps led to some of the misleading reviews of this property and on behalf of other uses we feel uncomfortable doing this as it skews the reality of this property.

Overall, while the view and the host were wonderful, the misleading photos and lack of clairty on what you are actually renting, made for a less than satisfactory experience. I hope the host updates the listing to reflect the current state of the property to avoid future disappointment for...

My recent stay at Litsa Apartments in Naxos was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. Maria, the granddaughter of Grandma Litsa who started this wonderful family business, greeted us with genuine hospitality and treated us to delicious homemade Greek coffee and koulourakia.

The apartment itself was cozy and comfortable, providing all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. Everything was impeccably clean and well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience throughout our time there.

The location of Litsa Apartments is also unbeatable, situated in the heart of Naxos Town and within walking distance to all the restaurants, bars, and attractions the area has to offer. It made exploring the charming streets of Naxos incredibly convenient and enjoyable.

What truly stood out during our stay was the personal touch and attention to detail that Maria and her family provided. Their warmth and genuine care made us feel like part of the family, and it's something we'll always cherish about our time at Litsa Apartments.

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Litsa Apartments in Naxos island. The location couldn't have been better - right in the heart of Naxos Town (Chora), surrounded by charming restaurants, lively bars, and cozy cafeterias. It was incredibly convenient to explore the town and enjoy its vibrant atmosphere.
