If you want to experience real Greek food and service that makes you feel like family, then come here. We did not stay in the accommodation however i discovered the family restaurant when wandering the streets of Naxos and stopped in to look at their homemade products for sale. I was offered a taste of some of the goodies (of which were delicious and purchased some to take home)and decided to stay for a Greek coffee which came accompanied with homemade herbal liquor and presented beautifully. I sat in the quiet courtyard and did not want to leave, but promised to return with my husband for dinner. We did return and we were given such special service and the tastes of the dishes were so unique and so absolutely delicious. It was especially good knowing that everything had been made fresh and from scratch in their tiny kitchen. We were even given complimentary sweets to finish with the best icecream we have ever tasted (her recipe comes from the world champion if icecream) and some homemade liquor. It was a beautiful experience as a whole and hope that more people come and see how special a place this is. If you go to one place in Naxos do not miss this!!!!! Don't let...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I booked a room at this pension only one day in advance. Luckily for us they still had a room available. The location is very good with the Naxos port and old city centre on one side, and on the other side the beach. The first two nights we stayed in a pension across the street. The name of this pension is Nostos studios and the rooms are comparable with Philoxenia. They work togheter and this made it possible for us to stay an extra night even when Philoxenia was fully booked. || We had breakfast two times and it was delicious. Everything was fresh and home made. The staff is very friendly and made us feel at home! Room we stayed in was a bit small but everything was clean and the room had a cute terrace. Overall we had a wonderfull stay in...
Read moreThis small, family run hotel is one of our favorite in Greece. We have been coming here for over 15 years and look forward to our stay here. All the family members are very accommodating and do their very best to make their guest feel welcome. The attached restaurant serves some of the best breakfast foods in Greece. Ava is truly passionate about food and it shows in the presentation and the wonderful tastes in all that is served. As one reviewer wrote, “the food is so good it can make you cry.”||The rooms are a bit small and somewhat dated but they are comfortable, safe and provide all the amenities that most folks need. Our favorite part of the day is spending the evenings out on their very comfortable terraces with a night cap while watching the...
