Me and my boyfriend booked in for 2 weeks 9-24th July 2019. We arrived late at around 1am, walked into the bar area and after paying for our second week (we paid bank transfer for the first week) we were brought to our room. At first glance it was small, didn’t have a lot of space to put our clothes. It was late and we were happy we had a mosquito net and air conditioning. When we saw the wardrobe we decided to just keep everything in the suitcase. Yock. There was a safe in the wardrobe which i could of picked up and walked out the Room with. It was light and a poor excuse for a safe. we had a little balcony area and had a mosquito net so we were content with what we paid for. All these little things didn’t bother us as the price was great! We were wrong. The first week was great, the pool was clean and quiet. We never went to beach, enjoyed the pool and cheap pints at the bar. We spent 6 days at the pool. Every day our towels went down on the sun loungers, we took out our inflatables and enjoyed the pool, we used our ground floor room as a toilet etc. Every night as we left for dinner I said how lucky we were to be at a great safe place. We have gone to lots of places in summer and winter and I always was Funny about leaving stuff in the room but this time I trusted the place . (I’m very anxious about being robbed due to being robbed on a family holiday years ago) we decided to go to Corfu town on a quad. We left the apartment earlier than usual and didn’t leave our towels by the pool as we were away for the day. The cleaner robbed us this day. She robbed my GHD Hair straightener and some makeup. I realised I was missing my mascara and decided to clean up the suitcases and room to find it. I couldn’t find it. I got fed up of looking for it when I realised my hair straighter was gone. We went to the owner and he said to check again and he would speak to the cleaner tomorrow. The next day he said the cleaner didn’t take it and maybe I lost it. I told him the room was small and I could not have lost it, as I realised it was missing when I cleaned the room. He said it was my opinion that it my hair straightener was lost. He checks his cleaners every day before they go home. (This was not mentioned when I reported it being robbed) I decided I didn’t want anyone in the room with my belongings as they treated me like I lost it when it was taken! They said themselves only them and the cleaner have they key! The owner gave out that the room must be cleaned, I argued I don’t want them in there, how could I. There was nothing else to take but the trust was broken. But after 4 days the room needed new towels etc, so my boyfriend went to ask for the room to be cleaned. He was waiting outside. They accused us of making a hole in the bed linen. We didn’t and when my boyfriend said we didn’t and it must of been there when they dressed the bed last time; he said he put the bedsheets on himself and there was no hole in them. The last time the sheets where changed was when we got robbed: we gave the owner the benefit of doubt at the start and blamed the cleaner for the robbing. In the end it looks like they were all in on it. GHD straightener robbed: expensive makeup and I don’t even know if money was robbed as I honestly believed after 4 nights there that it could be trusted. I had half my holiday cash in my purse, I won’t say they took any of it as I didnt keep track but who knows. The room had a solid lock and key so, if you stay here and something goes missing. It’s someone working there!! We never complained about the bathroom or anything as we believed you pay for what you get! The mould on the wardrobe and walls. The bathroom was tiny you couldn’t shower with the shower curtain or you will be suffocated. It was uncomfortable. we didnt complain as what was the point. Who wants to breath in mould? It transferred to our suitcases and bags as we had nowhere to store clothes. It says open to public but was always quiet I see why now, thieves! We couldn’t go anywhere and we saw the owner. This was after the issues started. The day we were to check out, we didn’t find anyone at the bar. We went for breakfast down the strip away from the apartment and the owner came in and told my boyfriend to go back to room and check out. That the room was dirty we had to go! Funny thing is even though we weren’t treated right I still cleaned the room the night before. I packed the suitcases and the only mess was an unmade bed and our clothes for flying home. The owners of this place work for a crepe place up the strip and we saw them everywhere throughout the holidays. Scary. Our bus didn’t collect us till 8pm, we had to rent a car just to put our suitcases somewhere. You should be able to trust your hotel/apartments with this. NOT LENA. They might not do it to everyone. The reviews where great when we booked it.It could be you, pay that bit extra, we saw the other places Sidari had to offer and they looked great! Try Alkion, they had night entertainment. Sidari is unreal , a great place with fantastic resteraunts and night life. Just stay somewhere else, not here. The good reviews, people must of been smart and didn’t bring...
Read moreWhen we arrived at the apartments our booking had been cancelled due to a mix up with Booking.Com. However, the owner Dominiq could not have been more helpful. He managed to get us into a 3 bedroomed apartment under the condition that we would move rooms after 8 days and use another apartment for our final 2 days. The apartments were lovely with free Air Conditioning, Safe deposit box and mosquito nets over the windows and patio door if we needed it all included in the price. The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in in Greece as usually they are very hard. The pool area was lovely and no fight for sunbeds as the first week we were the only ones around the pool and it had both steps and a ladder so easy to get in and out of. Draft beer at 2 euros and bottles 2.5 euros. Only problem is they didn't do food as he was short staffed but no problem with us taking our own rolls and eating them around the pool. We bought drinks through the day as we would have felt cheeky taking our own when there was a bar. The bar showed all major football but we walked out onto the strip at night. I was very nervous after reading other reviews but no need at all to worry as rooms, pool bar all very clean and the people very accommodating. Would have no hesitation in...
