Last year we had a great meal here. I had the whole bbq chicken and it was succulent, juicy and piping hot, accompanied by hot fries. This year I was looking forward to the same but it was such a disappointment. The chicken was warm at most and tasted dry and chewy like it had spent the afternoon on a hot plate. The fries were dry and stale. I asked for the bbq chicken to be put in the microwave to at least heat it up. Instead it was put back on the grill and returned to me two minutes later. Drier than before and a little bit warmer on the outside only. I had a few mouthfuls and left the rest, it was awful. No one returned to ask how the food was and no one asked or apologised for it being originally warm only, when we paid the bill. Such a shame, but at least I learnt that this place is a lottery, you could get lovely hot food or you could get something much worse. I suggest you don’t go to take that chance. I certainly will never go there again. Giving me food that wasn’t at all fresh was a false economy on their part - they’ve lost my custom forever and I LOVE bbq chicken! Flip a coin and hope you get a good meal or go somewhere else if you are...
Read moreVegetarians Be careful ! If you order MEATLESS GYROS PITA, ( small 2.5 € / large 4 €) it means, you get a pita with tzatziki, tomato, onion and a load of stuffed fries - that's it! Very plain, dry and tasteless. They basically just don't serve it with any substantial protein as you would expect. If you want a veg-dish, you need to order € 12 plate of 3 souvlaki sticks with fries , tzatziki and salad. I'd like more transparency in what goes in the product. Waiter said it's some beans, but there was nothing. Then I ordered extra portion of the veg souvlaki stick for my gyros but got the whole plated meal. Instead of a large veg (meatless) gyros pita, I got € 16 meals. Very odd. Who would order a gyros pita without any filling? Not good. I'd also recommend to add a haloumi pita on menu, for all the people who enjoy this vegetarian delicatess. Otherwise place has a cool american vibe, all food and drink choices you can think of and right on the main strip of bars and restaurants, obviously catering for 24/7 late night...
Read moreReally disappointed. The gyros I had was OK to be fair (although a little too much onion) but the burger my husband got was awful. He got the chilli burger which is basically a plain burger with loads of awful chilli sauce drenched on top. The burger itself was grey and had the texture of mushy cardboard. It tasted weird and fake while at the same time tasting of nothing.
When we left I inspected the bill and realised there was a 5 euro charge added on. I have no idea what this was for? The only thing I can think it might be is an added on tip. I wouldn't have left a tip regardless as the food was poor but even if it wasn't, 5 euro on an 18 euro meal is a lot! Or if it was a charge for using card then this should have been explained to us before paying as we did have cash. In total, we paid nearly 23 euros for a gyros, a burger and 2 glasses of soda water. That is very expensive compared to other places you can eat...
