Marianna House — Hotel in Municipality of Northern Corfu

Christos and Marianna were the best hosts, very kind and welcoming. Marianna house is located very close to the nice sandy beach and few supermarkets and restaurants.

We chose this place according to good reviews about quiet and peaceful location, because that is the only thing important for us while on vacation. Unfortunately, our room (number 2) was not quiet but totally the opposite. Guests are not respecting the quiet hours provided on Booking (from 11pm.), some of the guests were shouting, playing loud music, slamming doors and furniture trough all the night. Also, front door of our room didnt seal well when closed, there was a huge gap between them and the wall. So all the loud music from nearby bars was in the room like if we were outside, no difference at all... We stayed for 13 days and didn't have not even one night of good sleep, we got back from our vacation exhausted...

Additionally, first few nights we had a problem with mosquitoes, as someone said in the reviews, the net provided doesn't stop them for getting in (also a gap between the net and the wall), so we bought some plug in repellent and it helped...

Perfect! A small, family run villas set back off the road surrounded by a beautifully kept garden. If you are looking for something peaceful, romantic, in a natural setting and traditional then this is the place to stay. The Greek couple who run it are wonderful and have gone over and above to make the place special. It’s modest and not a glamorous hotel, but makes up from it in charm. The couple are very professional and supply everything you need in the room, even a complementary bottle of wine, and meet you on arrival and proudly show you to you room, telling you everything you need to know. The view from the rooms are beautiful, and whilst only the front of the room looks out to the sea, the back balcony has a view of the mountains, trees and flowers and it is just as beautiful as the sea view, and you can always take your chairs and using the small table they have supplied, sit out there. Its truly beautiful. Can’t recommend this enough! Will be coming...
