Marina — Restaurant in Municipality of Northern Corfu

This was our only disappointing dining experience in the week we spent at Agios Georgious Pagan. It is early season and not all of the dining restaurants were open yet.

All the staff at the Marina seemed unhappy and were not working as a team. They brought out dishes and did not know which table they were for. We were offered 3 different meals until the correct order came to our table.

The restaurant was not very busy and there were plenty of staff so I am not sure what the issue was really.

One of our dishes was forgotten and all the food was luke warm. The meat for the gyros was like having fatty bacon pieces.

After our main meal, not one staff member came to ask us if we were happy with the food, did we want another drink, or would we like...

I didn't expect gourmet food from this place, just proper Greek food. We haven't had time to sit down or open the menu yet and the waiter has already asked what we want to order, ridiculous. I got the gyros on the plate after 10 minutes, until it was all glistening with dripping fat, it wasn't appetizing. The meat tasted of fat, sometimes there were better cuts, but they were not great. The photo shows one big chunk of fat, it's downright unappetizing The food was heavy and tasteless, one good part of this dish was the tzatziki. When I asked the waiter for the bill, he pointed me to the cash register at the bar, it must have been some kind of joke. I don't know why there are so many positive reviews, I personally advise...

This place has been absolutely fantastic throughout our whole stay! We have visited this restaurant 4 times during our trip. It has a very relaxed atmosphere and beautiful views. The food has been delicious, great portion sizes and very reasonably priced. The staff here are incredibly kind, without coming over and bothering you mid mouthful. The food is always served hot, very tasty and well seasoned. I'm sure we've eaten our way through the whole menu. House wine is lovely, best bought in 0.5l or 1l price wise.

They don't rush you here, stay for 30 minutes or hours and the service is just as good.

We cannot thank you enough for making it such a lovely experience, we would definitely be back here on our next travels...
