Frideriki Studios & Apartments — Hotel in Municipality of Platanias

Pros: 2 min walk to the beach (yet most properties are in Platanias), clean room (except sheets/towels). ||||Cons: towels and bedding were changed once in 7 days, no toilet rolls provided and needed to ask each time we required a new one. The room was small and pokey and not as described. It was very light as there are no shutters, and very noisy from the main road. Only one key provided which powers the electricity so the room was very hot after a day out and took a long time to cool down as the Aircon was weak. We found the staff very rude, particularly the owner George who was generally very dismissive, unhelpful and unfriendly towards us. Undecided about Platanias as a place: it’s your typical tourist location with neon signs and generic restaurants all around, but we were very happy about this particular location. Stayed for two nights in the top floor junior suite. Were welcomed by the owner, who offered us a cold beer before showing us to the suite. The pictures are true: there really is a private hot tub, a huge balcony and a nice sea view from the top floor. Several decent restaurants, grocery stores and car rental services nearby. I stayed here for a week with my friend. The room was so clean and the beds were comfortable. There is enough cutlery and kitchen supplies for a cooked meal and all were clean. The bathroom was very clean and the shower/bath had warm/hot water. The maid regulary changed over towels and toilet paper and always kept the apartment as clean as it could be. The balcony wasn't very spacious but it contained a table and 2 chairs and was lovely to sit out side, eating breakfast with a beautiful sea view.
