Mariliana Hotel — Hotel in Municipality of Platanias

We have visited Platanias now for ten years. Now we were first time in this hotel. Nice rooms, actually better than what I waited for. Beautiful pool area with all flowers and plants. Lady who has worked in the reception for summer 2017 is topclass. Very nice and helpful person. Still our firts time was also the last time. Pool is small and not so deep. Of course we knew it when we came there. What we didn't know was that water quality is poor. Maybe too much chlorine (you can smell it clearly), but 3/4 of our family got rash what has never happend before. After first week of our holiday we quit swinming there and used pool at hotel near by (with permission). Rash disapeared. But pool is not reason for one star. Maybe only with pool, I'd give three stars. Reason for one star is that hotel management attaced us with no reason. I dont know and dont care is it because cleaning lady told wrong things to manager or manager simply told wrong things to travel agency, but it ended so that one morning guide from travel agengy woke us up by knocking on door and checked our room. Of couse we showed to her, because we did not have anything to hide and guide notifed that there was no reason for her to be there. Of course some another guests had complaid about thing why guide was there and I guess these who had complained are somekind VIP guests. That is why all I waited for was an apology, but didnt get it. We spent a week at Mariliana hotel in August 2021. It was our first time at Mariliana and we absolutely fell in love with this delightful little hotel. Mariliana is a well maintained, calm oasis with a beautiful garden. It is situated in a quiet residential area, however shops, restaurants and the sea are within easy walking distance, about 200m away. Our room, the pool and the whole hotel area were spotlessly clean. Staff was friendly and always ready to help.
