Proimos Maisonnettes — Hotel in Municipality of Platanias

Proimos maisonettes is a very cozy accomodation situated at the very end of Platanias. This though should not worry since everything you need is easily reachable: many restaurants are on walkable distance (first taverna on the right - Kanelis, kind recommendation to go there at least once - unique, amazing, tasty and each Wednesday and Sunday they have live music), bus stations in both directions are practicaly right in front of entrance doors, beach is accesible in 1 minute by going out on back doors, decent car rental EV tours is 2 minute walk away on left from entrance door and of course Lidl is around 5 minute walk on the right to Gerani. And if you decide not to go anywhere, you can relax and enjoy in and by the pool, which is very well maintained each morning. Our son and myself have atopic dermatitis but we did not experience any issues regarding using pool there, which was very great since we are very sensitive. We stayed in 1 bedroom family maisonette for 10 days in September with our 2-year-old son. Since he sleeps with us at home, we could not do it there because size of bed was narrower (I think it was 140×200cm and at home we are sleeping in 160×200cm bed). So I had to sleep in another single bed. Which was not bad at all actually since I have not slept alone since our son was born. 😄 Anyway, we had 2 amazing balconies, one accesible from the first floor and second accesible from bedroom on second floor. Kitchen has all utensils you need to cook decent summer meals if you want too. Small fridge with freezer drawer included, microwave, filter coffee machine, small stovetop and oven below. And you also get wine and water bottle as a welcome gift, which was lovely gesture from Mr. Proimos. Also, many toys and other children entrentaiment is available, including pool entrentaiment. We payed for breakfast and we were not disappointed: you can choose one between 8 dishes on the menu plus bread basked with butter pot included, also next plus - included freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee/tea plus let's say sweet part after you are done with your meal: you get strawberry and apricot jam and honey, you can spread them on bread with butter. All in all - lovely vacation, we had amazing time spent on Crete and definitely have fallen in love with this island and would love to visit again and explore more!! Breakfast is made and served by amazing chef Costa, he is a person who knows so much, wisdom of his is very admirable and it was lovely talking with him about broad variety of topics. Also I would like to add that around Proimos maisoneetes you can see many sculptures and art pieces inside and out, as I have read they are authentic, as Mr. Proimos is professor of Art History and art critic. So it is a plus for artists, I think. For us it was lovely to see this uniqueness about this accomodation. What else to say - if you want authentic greek accomodation, not modern, but very well maintained and isolated in greenery and amazing personal and very nice location with easy access to everthing you need - then Proimos maisonettes are a go to for...

When picking the Proimos Maisonettes in Platanias as the place for our holidays, we just knew it would be the place we will feel home, can relax and enjoy our time in Crete. After the first day there, we knew really that we were in the place which was exactly fitting to us. Constantinos and his team really made us feel personally cared for from the beginning to the end. We appreciated the regular contact with him and his personnel and we got very good tips for places to eat fantastic greak food and making excursions to beautiful places. The 9 days we spent in this place were just great. Also the room service was excellent and we got more than we expected. Great care around the clock. We felt so welcome and we just have the urge to come back to this beautiful people and place. Thank you very much....

Proimos Maisonnettes are a haven of comfort and elegance. Impeccably designed with a traditional touch, and a sense of tranquility. The attention to detail was apparent in every corner, from the tastefully decorated living spaces to the well-appointed kitchenette. Owner and the staff are professional, very friendly but discreet.

The apartments are just a minute from beautiful beach.

Another standout feature was the amenities offered within the complex - nice swimming pool and a small cafe-restaurant.
