We had a three night stay at Cressa and unfortunately wouldn’t recommend it. I don’t often do pros and cons list, but I think it is the most effective here.
great location in the heart of old town, but not on a too busy street great modern decor and amenities +- rooftop is nice for hanging out but you need to bring your own drinks and the chairs are quite uncomfortable
However, we were really disappointed in the following fronts: the room was really small. There might be other larger rooms in the hotel, but in ours we could barely fit our suit cases anywhere. Small rooms are to be expected in the old town but it could have been improved with better design choices. the hotel is super noisy. You will hear every single sound from reception, other rooms, stair case and even the street outside. We were woken up by the noise from reception every morning at 8AM. We stayed in a 2nd floor room. the breakfast basket wasn’t to our liking. It was generous enough but doesn’t give you much options if you don’t like what’s on offer, and it has very little protein rich items. Breakfast is one of the highlights of any hotel stay to me, but here we actually just considered going elsewhere for breakfast despite it being included in the room price. the bed is dreadfully hard, both of us had really sore backs after the three nights stay.
PS since the hotel decided to discredit my review do note we stayed in this exact hotel and our reservation is under my...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel for one night during what was supposed to be a special and peaceful getaway—my baby moon. I am 7 months pregnant, and unfortunately, this turned out to be the worst hotel experience of my life.
When we arrived, we discovered that the air conditioner was leaking water. The room was flooded. When we informed the staff, their only solution was to give us a few towels to deal with it ourselves. To make matters worse, there was a constant loud noise coming from the bathroom that lasted the entire night. We reported it in the afternoon, but no one offered a real solution.
We couldn’t sleep at all. At midnight, we were even told to try to sleep somewhere else—but every hotel in the area was fully booked. In total desperation, I considered sleeping outside on the terrace, but even there the noise was unbearable.
We filed a complaint and have received no response from the manager. When I called to follow up, the receptionist told me—word for word—“It only cost you €90, it’s nothing, I don’t understand why you’re complaining.” This level of disrespect and lack of empathy is unacceptable, especially toward a pregnant woman and her husband who couldn’t get a single hour of rest due to serious issues that should have never occurred.
I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. It was a complete nightmare. It is a pitty that I cant...
Read moreIt is located in the Old Town. There are only six rooms and so there isn't anyone there full time- they request that you tell them when you plan to arrive.||We have a good sized room with a private deck. On the deck there is a very large Jacuzzi, though we didn't use it. A large umbrella provides shade. There is a table and chairs where it is pleasant to eat breakfast or you can go up to the roof and dine there in the sun. There is also a folding contraption that you can use to dry your towels or clothes. There is an exercise ball and two inflated lounge chairs.||The king sized bed (actually two singles attached and sharing the blanket) is very comfortable [if you like firm mattresses - most Brits won't like the level of firmness].||The shower, toilet and sink are all in separate areas. The shower is large and very good. It is totally enclosed so there is no risk of water getting on the floor of the room. If you use hair conditioner bring your own as it's not provided (skin moisturizer is however).||The breakfast is delivered to you in a basket. You call down after 8:00 AM for it. It is good but of course you don't have the multitude of choices that a hotel's breakfast buffet offers. For example it has only white bread not the whole...
