Missiria Apartments — Hotel in Municipality of Rethymnon

-Pro's The friendliness of the staff deserves 5 stars at least. They are really helpful at all times even if it inconveniences them. Which you don't want to do because they work hard all day to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable. The result is a nice family atmosphere and friendly customers.

The apartment was one bedroom but the living room was separate which was nice. Everything was really clean. Our place was in the shade so we did not need air-conditioning.

The apartments are in a less touristy and more quiet area. No parking but you can park in the street anywhere and there is always space. Swimming pool is not very big but big enough and most importantly it's clean. Almost forgot to mention. The beds are NOT hard as a rock!

Also you can buy 2 bus tickets at the nearest supermarket and take a 10min busride into the city. Very easy to do. If you want to relax more stay put because they have a kitchen that covers all your needs. And yess the food they serve is good.

-Cons •Airco is 6,- a day. Maybe not that bad with current electricity prices as I know airco can be expensive. •WiFi is 10 euros for a week. I've been in similar places where WiFi was always included. Also didn't have the best reach in the apartment. •the beach nearby is basically a sewage dump and you can sometimes smell it at the apartment if you go towards that area. No they don't dump sewage all the time so the water is very clear and warm some days and pleasant to swim in but do keep your eye...

My husband and I stayed here for about 6 days. Kostantino , the owner, and Alexandra ,another helper at the front, were very kind and assisted us with places to visit from day one. We stayed at the king suite with the hot tub - very spacious and the housekeepers always cleaned the room very well. Everyday, the housekeeps decorated our towels with nice designs. The pool is open early until around night time (which is nice because you can go for a night swim). It’s very quiet at night and my husband and I always got a restful sleep. Breakfast had eggs (boiled and scrambled), bacon, cereal, fruits, hot dogs, yogurt, honey, tea, donuts, sweets, coffee and juice. Also you have a very sweet cat every morning coming to visit you and give cuddles during your breakfast. BIG PLUS: there is a huge parking lot across the hotel. The property is beautifully maintained, with lush gardens and lots of parking. The room was very well maintained, and sparkling clean. The staff is friendly and inviting, and will give you lots of recommendations on places to visit. There is a large pool with lots of chairs and a kiddie pool for children. We stayed in the suite with the hot tub, and I must say that it's worth it. Especially at night after a long day of exploring the town. It's about a 50 min walk and a 10-15 minute drive to the center of the Rethymno. There are lots of places nearby for food, nice bakeries, a few supermarkets, and a beach, that are walking distance.
