Taverna Elizabeth — Restaurant in Municipality of Rethymnon

Stayed for three nights on the campsite so thought I would try this place out. Food was reasonable for price and location, but not the service. Sat there for at least 30 minutes after finishing meal, no one asked how my food was or if I wanted anything else to eat or drink. Had to call out to get another drink and still didn't ask how my meal was. Wasn't very busy either, the guy was just wandering around chatting to people that he probably new. Quiet, small place on the seaside of the camping. Looks like a former(?) hippi place, with books, photo albums, board games available. The food is ok, not great, but the atmosphere is genius, and the manager (maybe owner) lady is very friendly and relaxed. It's a place for a slow, simple life. This Taverna was one of the highlights of our stay on Crete. We stayed on the Campsite, so spent a lot of time in the Taverna picking up bread, drinks, ice cream or eating meals.
