Peaceful hotel with friendly and helpful staff.||Room - we arrived at night and the staff member carried our luggage to our room for us and showed us around. We had booked a sea view, however, it seems all the rooms have a view to the sea but the higher you go the better, we were on second floor and had a lovely view 👌|We were a bit disappointed at first by the room which was basic with outdated furniture, however, it was extremely clean, had THE BEST air conditioning and even a fridge freezer!||Cleanliness - there were always staff members around cleaning and tidying. The grounds are gorgeous and very well kempt. Our room was cleaned every day. ||Location - right by the beach with a gorgeous view. Not a great deal within walking distance but there were some restaurants, a kite surfing place and jet ski hire very nearby. The sunbeds on the beach outside the hotel were free for guests to use. |The hotel is in the flight path of planes landing so can be very noisy but this did not impact on us at all. ||Travel - we got taxi to and from airport rather than an expensive transfer - this cost us 23 euros going to hotel and 18.50 going to the airport and the hotel ordered the taxi for us. ||Entertainment - this is a quiet hotel so the entertainment as far as I could tell was the pool, and a small games room. This was perfect for us. ||Pool - the pool is well kempt. It was very quiet in June with a selection of sun beds to choose from rather than a rush to get a good spot!! ||Service - all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly always saying hello.||Food - we had bed and breakfast. Breakfast did not always have as much selection as you would get at a larger hotel but there were always some kind of eggs, bacon and sausages as well as pastries and/ or sweet breads. ||In summary, this hotel is peaceful, clean and comfortable and the service there...

Read moreMy partner and i spent nine nights in this hotel recently and wish we hadn't. On our first day we had to change rooms as the allocated room had very little wardrobe space, no kettle as advertised and a bathroom only fit for a two star hotel.|We found most of the staff very helpful particularly George (one of the owners ) and the kitchen manager who understood what hospitality meant hence my three star rating.|There was a major problem with the food as we had to play a guessing game as to what was on offer at breakfast and dinner and none of the hot dishes were ever kept hot with very dated equipment and no food allergy notices. ( food controls are so important as peoples eating habits are so varied )|If you are looking for a very quiet holiday then the Pylea is fine as there is only two bars in walking distance and the nearest town is a lot further than one kilometre as advertised...and don't expect a late drink in the hotel you wont get one.|They advertised wifi in all rooms but we could only get it on our balcony or in the bathroom.|There was no cleaning up after breakfast as we found food debris on the floors at dinner attracting stray cats and on several occasions ants were on the dining tables.|If you wish to swim in the sea i would strongly advise not to as the currents are quite strong and the pebbled beach is dirty.|We stay in jet2 hotels often and don't ever have any problems but we feel let down on this occasion.|All this hotel owners need to have a more positive attitude to hospitality and making the customers needs more of a priority than just taking it...
