Tomatini — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

Came here as it looked really nice. Ordering was a bit slower than youd expect as it wasnt busy, but we were on holiday. Eventually we ordered after 30 minutes! Our food arrived and looked delicious. I had chicken tagliatelle and my husband had calzone. Half way through my meal I cut into the 2nd half of the chicken breast and to me seemed undercooked and pink inside. I already ate half which seemed OK but now felt nauseous at the thought of eating uncooked chicken, and couldn't eat anymore. No one came over to check on our meal, so my husband mentioned it to the waiter. The waiter offered to "reheat" the chicken portion. I refused, and he walked away. Finally, when paying the bill, my husband said we didn't want to pay for my meal as it was half touched and questionable if it was cooked properly. My husband was called up to the serving desk! No one came to our table. The two men assured him it was cooked, and that because I had eaten half, they could not allow us to leave without paying the FULL bill. My husband felt very threatened by this and reluctantly paid the bill. He me tinned we would write a review about this, and their reply was "go on then" this is first time to Rhodes and we've been made welcome everywhere and eaten out twice a day as we're self catering. We have had exceptional service elsewhere apart from this restaurant. We will be back to this area, but will not return...

Thank goodness for this place being right next door to our all-inclusive hotel. A good (yet standard) Italian style restaurant at reasonable prices and the quality of food is good and decent portions.

When busy, service can be a little slow but this may be down to staffing numbers rather than not wanting to provide good service.

Sadly I only discovered the special Tomatini calzone on my last night staying in the resort, but if I had discovered it earlier I may have returned home a few stone heavier and needed the airline seatbelt extension.

Came here for dinner for my birthday. Started off well, drinks came within 15 minutes. And thats about where it ends. Proceeded to wait an hour for our starter to arrive (which was 4 pieces of grilled halloumi). Waiters were not interested in checking in on us throughout or clearing any tables around us. We had to prompt them for extra drinks and to check on our order. When asked whats going on, was told ‘i don’t work in the kitchen, its not to do with me’. Another half an hour until we eventually got our mains which was painfully average. A poor couple who were there before us had waited 2 hours for their starters! Not good enough for a busy area.
