Madilides — Hotel in Municipality of Sifnos

The sweetest little apartment just 2 mins from the liveliest, most protected beach on the island. Our host, Georgia, was the kindest, gentlest person and made up our rooms everyday and stocked up our snack and breakfast items daily while we were away, sometimes even leaving daily ham and cheese sammies, freshly baked cheese pies, yogurt pots (fruits not included) and dessert jars!

The rooms are very clean and spacious and the view from the balcony is very beautiful and an excellent spot for your morning tea/coffee. It was a perfect stay! No notes. There’s a mini market right next to it for water, snacks, drinks or anything else.

The Platys Gialos beach is a beautiful long stretch of sand which is super shallow and gradual, so great for kids and relaxing with some incredible restaurants along the beach. There’s a shower on the left end of the beach to wash off after a swim which was very convenient. We spent a couple of entire days on this beach on bad weather days.

We stayed here for 5 nights and if we’re back in Sifnos, we’d definitely stay here again....

Every time I come to Sifnos there is only one place for me: To Koralli at Platis Gialos. Nestled among the olive trees on a quiet lane a short stroll from the beach, it is conveniently close to all the cafes, restaurants and minimarkets yet quiet and bucolic. Georgia's unequalled hospitality and kindness make you feel at home right away, spoiling you with delicious homemade treats (both traditional dishes and tempting sweets), keeping the room spotlessly clean, and always ready to help with advice or information. The rooms are comfy, spacious and well equipped, the upper balconies with views and the lower ones nestled among the olive trees. They have kitchenettes with cooking utensils, and breakfast ingredients are provided.Built in traditional Cycladic style featuring a stone arch and typical stone floors, garlanded with blooming bougainvillea and hibiscus, the hotel has a charm all its own. If you rent a car there is parking in the grove, otherwise the bus stop is nearby.This is my fourth stay, ranging from two weeks...

We had an amazing stay and were genuinely sad to leave! The host truly thought of every little detail in the room - from the beautifully considered design to the practical touches that made everything feel effortless. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room was so perfectly dark and quiet that we slept in until 11:00 without even noticing!

The setting was very private and peaceful, yet just a short walk from the beach, restaurants, mini market, and motorbike rentals - the perfect balance between seclusion and convenience.

Communication with the host was smooth and responsive even before we arrived, with every question answered promptly and kindly. The level of service we experienced was exceptional and only exceeded once we met the host in person. We hope to return one day. A truly memorable stay - highly...
