Enalion Sifnos – A Relaxing Beachfront Escape We enjoyed our stay at Enalion Sifnos, a beautiful boutique hotel right on the beach—perfect for relaxing and unplugging while looking at the turquoise ocean. We stayed in the beachfront suite on the first floor, which had a private balcony overlooking the sand and sea. It was magical to lie in bed with the windows open, listening to the gentle sound of the waves. The balcony was a wonderful spot, complete with a small table, chairs, and our own sun loungers. While it did lose the sun in the afternoon, it was still the ideal place to enjoy a glass of wine in the early evening before heading out for dinner. The hotel offers beer and wine for sale, and there’s also a small market nearby where you can pick up a bottle. The room itself was nice, with a minimalist Mediterranean design. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we slept so well. The open bathroom concept worked well for us, with the toilet in a separate room for privacy. The location couldn’t be better. You can walk right down the beach to many restaurants or the mini-market. We parked our car when we arrived and didn’t need it again for the rest of our stay—everything is within easy walking distance. If you’re looking for a modern, peaceful, beachfront getaway in Sifnos, Enalion is the place

From the moment we arrived at this stunning seaside boutique hotel, we knew we had discovered something truly special. Enalion Suites offers breathtaking ocean views, thoughtfully designed interiors, and an atmosphere that perfectly blends luxury with laid-back charm. The service was nothing short of exceptional—every staff member greeted us with genuine warmth and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was flawless. Our room was an absolute dream: elegantly decorated with coastal touches, a private balcony overlooking the water, and the softest bed linens that made it hard to leave in the morning. We fell asleep each night to the gentle sound of waves. This boutique hotel is more than just a place to stay—it’s an experience. Peaceful, picturesque, and immaculately cared for, it’s the kind of place you never want to leave and always plan to return to. Highly recommended for anyone seeking beauty, tranquility, and first-class hospitality. We will be back.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at this beachfront accommodation. Was a little concerned at first that there is no pool, but why would you need one when there is a beautiful beach just steps away. Granted, we came in October so the water was a bit cold, but we took a dip anyway! Love as well that this is a new property, so everything was extremely clean (we came from another accommodation on Paros, and you can definitely see the wear and tear on the outdoor furniture in that property). Another thing to love about this property is there are several restaurants (Omega 3), taverna (forgot the name, but the tomato salad there was excellent!) just steps away! This was especially essential for us, as we did not rent a car. Not to mention, we also visited two lovely pottery studios in the same vicinity and bought pieces from both to bring home as souvenirs. Highly recommended if you are looking for somewhere quiet to get away.

We stayed at Enalion for 5 nights/6 days during our recent vacation in Sifnos. This is a nice property, very modern and clean. There is no lobby and no 24/7 service. Common area is small outdoor space. The parasols over the beach chairs are fixed so depending on the time of the day, there is no shade. A summary of our experience-

  1. In the middle of our check in (which was done in the outdoor common area) we were rudely interrupted by an old Greek couple that wanted to check in. Instead of the person checking us in (we think she is the owner) telling them to wait until she was done with us, she literally dropped our check in process and catered to them. She was conversing in Greek to the old couple so we didn’t know what was happening. At first we were so confused then felt awkward just sitting there. After we realized that was the end of our check in and since the room was not ready, we got up and went to grab lunch. There was no apology afterwards.
  2. Breakfast has to be selected the day before. Choices were ok but got really tiring after a few days. I ordered a Greek omelet 2 days in a row and noticed on the second day that there were 2 watermelon seeds on my plate when the omelet was served. Was it a dirty dish that my omelet was served in? I didn’t say anything to the staff because I didn’t want to cause any issues. I stopped ordering omelets after this.
  3. We were the only couple from US during our stay and the staff seem to be warm towards everyone except for us. For example, during breakfast, they didn’t offer us more coffee, so we had to ask for more coffee whereas a French couple sitting next to us were asked if they wanted more coffee, tea, etc.
  4. Our room was pretty small, I kept bumping into a table and ended up with a big bruise on my hip (and I’m not a big person). Water always leaked onto the floor after we used the shower. There is an electric wire in the ceiling that was unfinished above the bed. Mattress was very firm to a point we both woke up with a backache and stiffness all over our body. Decoration of the room is nice and seemed pretty new. There is no closet with a door but there is open shelf for folded clothes and a rod where clothes can be hung. I prefer to put clothes away, which makes the room neat and not feel cluttered.
  5. there were 4 pods for the coffee machine and a big bottle of water in the refrigerator when we checked in. We assumed that we are going to get a refill everyday but that was not the case. We noticed that we didn’t get more coffee pods after the room was cleaned so we asked for more coffee pods and were told that there is a charge of 0.60. Euros per pod. I mean, seriously? Isn’t getting refills standard for a luxury hotel?
  6. Towels including beach towels are not changed everyday.

Overall our experience was unsatisfactory. We didn’t feel welcomed, we didn’t even get a good bye from the owner when she went out of her way to bid farewell to guests. She even gave gifts to some guests when they left. We were so glad to leave! Not sure if the owner is biased towards Americans but at the end of the day, if you are in the service industry and you have paying customers then you should make their experience as pleasant as possible. There is no way we will return to this hotel. Some may question why I’m writing this review and my reason is to provide an honest feedback so that you can make an informed decision as to where to stay during your next vacation. I always appreciate reading both positive and negative reviews before I...

Enalion certainly lives up to its greek name. It is "of the sea" being situated right in the centre of the beautiful beach at Platys Gialos. The accommodation is for adults only, resulting in a very tranquil stay, with the sound of the waves lapping the shore lulling you to sleep at night - or even during the day, it was that relaxing! Every suite has a wonderful view and the interior design is of a very high standard using local traditional materials while maintaining a chic modernist look. |Breakfast was excellent, served under shady trees on the patio area in front of the sea, and you could easily order a drink or snack throughout the day there also.||Platys Gialos itself is not a huge beach, more a large cove nestled between two headlands, with a harbour at one end. The sand is fine and powdery and the sea slopes relatively quickly . There are a number of good restaurants along the beach ( I recommend To Steki) and a few small market shops.|Unfortunately we could only stay for two nights and did not have a chance to explore the rest of Sifnos, but what we saw, while crossing the island from Kamares ( the port) to Platys Gialos impressed us. Sifnos is hilly and quite green due to all its olive groves. |We immediately decided we were coming back to it to explore further, and that when we do return we will definitely stay at Enalion again. At our departure the family lined up to thank us for staying and wish us a good trip home - a lovely touch, much appreciated.|Oh yes, we...
