Bouganvillia Homes & Villas — Hotel in Municipality of Sithonia

Unfortunately, I have to agree with the other reviews. It is Maria, who runs Bougainvillea and/or Quintessence villas that was a huge problem. She's in the hostility, not the hospitality, business. MARIA LIES AND LETS PEOPLE ILLEGALLY ENTER THE PROPERTY. The property itself is nice and comfortable. A little run down, but not in bad shape. A few lowlights include: -One of the front doors was sealed shut. We booked 2 full apartments with a common area between the 2 main entrance doors. Except, one of the front doors was sealed shut. So, that meant we had to go downstairs to the basement studio door and then back up again. It also meant our common area wasn't so common. And lots of climbing stairs. -There were people squatting in one of the homes when we arrived. Strange things happen. However, the way Maria handled it was negligent. When I asked when someone would be by to clean the studio, she said "in 5 days. You don't need the studio now since there are only 6 of you till the weekend." We had to deal with the squatters ourselves. We cleaned the room as one couple wanted to stay in it. The studio in the other apartment couldn't be used as a private bedroom since it had to be entered to get into the apartment because the main door was sealed shut. We paid for 2 full villas. It should not matter how many guests you show up with. This is not how guests should be treated. -Maria asked if potential renters could come by the property on Thursday to have a look. It was my birthday and we were planning on having a meal together on the grounds. I said no to her request especially after having had to deal with Maria and her rudeness. She didn't get back to me. Thuraday, while at the beach and while 1 of my guests was sleeping, 2 people open the door with a key, saw my friend in bed and quickly closed the door. This startled my friend so she listened to find out what was going on. A man and a woman with a key, were letting themselves into the other units to look around. I called Maria and she said it was the cleaners and denied everything. The cleaners are women with long hair, not a man and woman with short hair. MARIA LIED AND LET PEOPLE ILLEGALLY ENTER THE PROPERTY. We came for a birthday week celebration. We were told quiet time was at midnight. We were certainly loud the first night. At 930pm the first night, another guest from the front unit came over and told us to be quiet. The next day, Maria sent me a note telling us to be quiet from 11pm and that we could only whisper, even inside the house. The area is quiet, especially in low season. We didn't know how quiet that meant before hand. The houses echos a lot. If you want to come here for a quiet meditative experience, then that would not be a problem for you. If you wanted to sit outside and have a few drinks and talk, you'll need to keep it down and be done early. -We were informed check out was noon. On the morning of our departure, Maria texted me at 730 am saying the cleaners were coming over. At 9am, they arrived and basically told us we had to leave. I really don't enjoy writing this bad review but I think people need to be made aware of what dealing with Maria entails. She should be avoided...

I do not write about the homes because the homes are private properties managed by this company this year and might be managed by another company next year. My review is about the company Bouganvillia based on our booking with them which they cancelled later, and our interaction with them after the booking was done.

The owners Maria & Stephane dealt in an extremely unprofessional manner. After we had booked with them, they tried their best forcing us to take more of their services and if we were not willing to, they cancelled our booking without any notice. We had paid all the money too. We had a huge booking of 25 people with them. They cancelled all our booking after 2-3 months of booking and which was just about 1 month away from the scheduled stay. They did return our money back. They were extremely rude and impolite in dealing with us . Also they lied to us while talking words in the name of homeowners...because we were lucky to get in touch with directly the homeowners and found out that they had not said anything of all that they told us.

Even when the home owners understood their game and wanted to give us their house, the owners of Bouganvillia did not let them as they had an agreement with them. A note to other homeowners- Please do not give your homes to this company to manage. There are many other wonderful companies out there in Halkidiki. Certainly not them.

They do not seem to know how to earn valuable customers and do business in this hospitality industry out there.

I sincerely urge all future visitors of Halkidiki to consider this review while planning their booking with...

Terrible experience. Never seen such attitude. We were big group and wanted to be together. Upon arrival it appeared that we are split in two groups but we were assured we can decide whether to stay that way or move in the other day. It appeared that was not true as we were told n the next day that we MUST leave. We were also advised that as compensation we can leave late, which again was not true as we had to go back from the beach to leave one of the villas due to another guests coming. I don't want to comment the attitude of the hosts who never apologized and we were even offended and had to listen to the sweatings of the owner because we, by his words, were noisy (at the same time there was a party at the house next to us). These people ruined our vacation. Any other place would be better than having to stand the lavk of hospitality...
