We visited two times during our visit. In a nutshell, both times we enjoyed the food. We tried the fresh seabass, the octopus, the beef patties, but the panko shrimps were absolutely the best!🍤We also liked the atmosphere - it was very romantic both of our visits.
The service was 50/50. While I can’t deny the professionalism of some of the waiters, others are sooo unattentive. The first night we had dinner at the place, I had made reservation, but we had to wait around 20-25 minutes to be seated. This was the only issue that night. Our waiter was amazing the whole time and really put some effort! 💪🏼
The second time I had also made a reservation, we did not wait for the table, but waited for everything else. First, no one came to bring menus. Okay, np, there are QR codes with the menu, so we scanned it and picked. We continued waiting for another 15-20 minutes for someone to come take our order. I had to ask three different waiters so someone could come and take our order. Each time they say “yes, just a minute” and no one comes. We didn’t receive even a bottle of water for the first 30 minutes, which made us a little nervous. The food came pretty fast and was delicious. We also asked a few times for the check again - another 10-15 minutes. When we finally paid (cash), one waiter came, picked the check, left it on the nearby table and disappeared and the check was just left unattended with our money in there. Seeing this, I took it again and gave it to another server, who finally gave us the change. While I understand it’s really very busy in there and all are on fire, this still seems a little bit unprofessional, at least for me.
That’s why I give 5 stars for everything, except the...
Read moreReview of Synagrida Reustorant During our five-day stay in town, we decided to explore different dining establishments. On the third day, we made a reservation at Synagrida Reustorant, drawn in by its favorable reviews and picturesque location by the sea. However, our experience left much to be desired. Service Issues: Despite having a reservation, we waited for approximately 15 to 20 minutes before anyone took our order. When we inquired about wine recommendations (as we were unfamiliar with foreign wines), the initial waiter seemed flustered and failed to provide an answer. A second waiter eventually assisted us, but the lack of coordination among staff members was evident when a third waiter arrived with a separate wine list, causing confusion. Additionally, they didn’t light the candles on beachside tables which was disappointing, we had to borrow a lighter from a neighboring table. Food Quality: The burrata salad was the only edible item. It consisted of fresh tomatoes and creamy burrata cheese. The mussels resembled more of a “mussel soup” with peppers, which did not align with our taste preferences. The squid dish was overcooked, and had an unpleasant burnt flavor. Overall Impression: We appreciate the friendly atmosphere created by the young staff, but their lack of attention to detail and order mix-ups were unacceptable. Given the restaurant’s high rating, we expected a better culinary experience. In summary, Synagrida Reustorant fell short of our expectations, both in terms of service and food quality. We hope that the management takes these points into consideration for...
Read moreWhen we first entered the restaurant, even though we mentioned that the weather was overcast and it might rain, they seated us at a table on the open beach. The chair on the beach kept sinking as we sat, and the table was too high for us. When ordering, the waiter insisted that we choose something from the wine menu. Despite telling him that we would think about it and respond, he stood over us and repeatedly asked which wine we would drink. He didn't allow us to think, pressured us, made us uncomfortable, and directed us to the most expensive wine. When we said we wanted to drink ouzo, he criticized our choice by saying we should get white wine. When ordering fish, he didn't tell us the price despite us asking. He only said it was very affordable by the kilo. We trusted his goodwill and didn't insist. Our fear came true, and it started to rain in the middle of our meal, and no staff came despite our calls. After waiting in the rain for 5 minutes, someone other than our waiter came, and we said we would like to leave by asking for the bill. With all his audacity, he said, "Wait, I'll bring the bill." We didn't wait and went to stand under the tent to wait for our bill. The bill for 1 fish, 1 calamari, and 1 small ouzo came to 172 euros, and as someone who has been to many restaurants in Greece, this bill was really above its value. Despite all their indifference, rudeness, and overpriced bill, they asked us to leave a tip, looking at our rain-soaked clothes. We went to the restaurant with high expectations, but we were mistaken. If you don't want your beautiful day to end badly, don't go to...
