Effi's Garden — Hotel in Thassos Municipality

I will try to state the pluses and the minuses as objective as I can.

Plus: Garden is shady and relatively well maintained. Cleaning everyday in the rooms. The parking for the car is under some large olive trees and, if you catch a good spot, your car will be in the shade all day. The pool is smaller than it looks in the marketing pictures but nice. Close to the city center and next to 2 supermarkets.

Minus: Some of the garden furniture is old and the kids had a small accident with a coffee table marble tabletop falling down. In our room, the air conditioning had no remote. We had to climb on a chair and open cover to start and stop it. Most furniture is old and the insides are not clean as to put the clothes in them. The kitchenette is very small, poorly furnished with the bare minimum of utensils. You must bring your own dishwasher soap and the like to be able to wash dishes. No anti-mosquitoes nets at the windows or doors. Bring your own anti-mosquitoes device. There was something biting us at night (not the mosquitoes because we used repellent). We identified very small red ants in the beds and on the floors (our room was at the ground level). Could not get a good rest at night. Check with the host if this is still a problem. The ground floor apartment doors do not have a door handle that allows opening from the outside. To open, you either have to open with the key or knock and someone inside opens. And the host only provided one key even if we asked for one more. This was very annoying for us as we had to always coordinate not to lose access to the room and be in need of calling the owner.

Now comes the subjective part. Worst of all is the host's attitude when we brought some of the above issues to their attention. We heard the following from them: "How much did you pay to stay here?" - with the argument that it is very cheap; it was indeed below average; "We did not ask you to come here, you wanted to." - Even being asked to leave if we don't want to pay for the full stay from the first day that we arrived there. We would have definitely left if it wasn't for our child and the group of families that...

A Wonderful Vacation at Effi’s Garden! We had a truly wonderful experience at Effi’s Garden. The location is charming and perfect for families with children. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and well-maintained. Each one has a handy kitchenette, air conditioning, and a private balcony — all great for a comfortable stay.

The inner courtyard is beautiful: shady, filled with olive trees, and very well cared for. There are two swimming pools — a small one for kids and a larger one suitable for adults — both clean and pleasant. The garden also includes a generous barbecue area with plenty of tables, shaded and cool, perfect for outdoor meals.

Our host, Effi, is an extraordinary lady — kind, attentive, and always willing to help. We had great communication with her throughout our stay. And last but not least, her father is a wonderful man who truly won our hearts with his warmth and kindness. We’ll miss him dearly!

We felt right at home here, and we’ll definitely return whenever we get the chance. We highly...

Dezamăgire totala... 1.Camerele sunt cu mobilier învechit ( mânerele rupte, sertare care nu se deschid sau nu.mai au partea de susținere) Aerul condiționat nu funcționează în toate camerele, Canapeaua extensibila este mai exact un mic pat adăugat la canapea care se mișcă la cea mai mica atingere, Chicineta are o plita foarte veche, care a încălzit o cana de lapte in 20 de minute, mini frigiderul s-a răcit după 2 zile, vesela este minima (4 farfurii, 4 pahare, 4 căni și câteva tacâmuri), daca vreți să luați micul dejun, ar trebui să veniți cu tot ce aveți nevoie, nu au minimul de un burete cu un detergent de vase.. Baia nu se aerisește, geamul este foarte mic și sita este îmbâcsită. Scurgerea din dușumea refulează la fiecare dus sau la folosirea chiuvetei. Prosoapele sunt forte vechi, de mai multe tipuri...nu am cuvinte sa descriu senzația... Lenjeria este uzată, necălcată, nu este schimbata in fiecare zi. Pernele sub orice critică...nu se poate dormi pe ele La piscina se aduna toți copii de pe strada sau apropiații administratorilor, dar în fiecare seară este curățată. In zona de grătar și luat masa, este de o mizerie de nedescris...frigiderele nu par să fi fost spălate sau macar șterse de curând, mesele le-am spălat noi cu dezinfectant, vesela este inexistenta , scaunele fiind foarte vechi și uscate de timp s-au rupt cu noi, am sesizat acest lucru și a doua zi le-am găsit pe terasa în aceeași stare In camera unor prieteni s-a stricat lustra dintr-un dormitor, au venit a doua zi la ora 22 sa repare, timp in care aceștia nu erau în camera..s-au urcat incaltati in patul care era sub lustra, și tot ce a căzut de pe tavan a rămas în pat...fara sa vina cineva sa strângă sau macar sa-si ceara scuze Am lăsat la final cireașa de pe tort ..Administratora...care are o atitudine agresivă, am avut câteva discutii cu aceasta referitor la condițiile cazării răspunsul fiind agresiv și total neprofesionist, cu alte cuvinte ne-a spus că dacă nu ne place putem sa plecam, că ei au turiști care sunt mulțumiți cu ceea ce primesc.. Singurul care își face treaba este grădinarul, care curata piscina în fiecare seară și are grija de partea de grădină. Pozele de pe site nu au nici o legătură cu realitatea Păcat că nu este administrată de cineva competent, locația este aerisita, liniștită, camerele ca spațiu și compartimentare sunt...
