No!!! BIG NO. We choose this place based on good reviews. Had the worst experience here in Thasos. Ordered 3 dishes, one fried calamari, shrimps, grilled octopus, feta cheese salad etc. The fried calamari ware FULL OF SAND in the tail are. One full table spoon of sand. You couldn't miss it. The biggest issue was that when we told this to the waiter he told us that they are calamari eggs and they could not clean it (a big lie). First of all the calamari is sliced before fry and you can clean everything. But how can you make such a huge mistake and try to cover it with a childish lie to your customers in the face with this approach? It was SAND and it was also covering some portion of the calamari and when you try to eat it you could feel small sand particles in your mouth. Also the rest of the food was decent but not wow. No excuse for something like this to happen. They should have admitted this and apologize if they had more respect...

We are very proud to be number 100 review. Twins tavern from Limenas, Thassos, is a unique place in our hearts. The familiar athmosphere and tasty dishes make this location a top one. Last year, as usually, we felt like some relatives of the owners. Now, these days, we hope that all the members of this wonderful family are OK, healthy, and we are looking forward to seeing them again this summer, maybe. Of course, if the social condition and rules will relax. An absolutely wonderful place! We visited this traditional Greek family restaurant and it was an unforgettable experience. From the very first moment, we felt truly welcome – like visiting close friends. The atmosphere was warm, genuine, and full of Greek spirit.

We ordered a Greek salad, fried eggplant, tzatziki, and prawn saganaki – everything was absolutely delicious. The ingredients were fresh, the flavors perfectly balanced, and the presentation lovely. The prawn saganaki especially blew us away – the combination of shrimp, tomato sauce, and cheese was divine.
