Ellas Hotel — Hotel in Thassos Municipality

The hotel is really close to the beach. About 2 min walk. You only need to cross a small road. It's clean. They have room service every day. They changed the towels every 3 days when they did a general cleaning of the room. The bathroom was small but newelly renovated. We had breakfast included. 80% of the breakfast was the same but there was some small variation every day. We stayed for 9 days and I didn't get bored of the same food. Just in front of the hotel there is a wide beach area where you can use your own umbrella and chairs. Or you can choose from a large variety of paid sun beds. There is a private parking in the back and a large public one in the front of the hotel. The private parking is always open to anybody so there is no security at all. We chose this hotel 'cause it was close to the beach. I hoped it to be a typical greek family hotel with nice atmosphere but it was not. The medelaged woman (wife?) was the only nice and friendly one. We just felt in the way there when it came to everyone else working there. The breakfast was ok but the food (lunch,dinner) was terrible. I know what a moussaka should taste like and this was frozen and heated up. The "fresh fish" was sadely not fresh, my boyfriend that work with fresh fish had to leave that one. Its to bad 'cause i Think the hotel has potential to be really great!! Unfortunately I went to the hotel and I left after 2 hours. They gave us a room which was almost basement , with a bad smell of moisture, no WiFi signal and no covid-19 measurements taken at all ( they told us don't ware a mask is not need). When we inform them about the condition they reply to as that the WiFi is only for the balcony. In the end they offer us another room far from the hotel. The room quality was really low in accordance with the price. We ask politely to reduce the price as it was too much ( 120 euros from government voucher and 120 euros from us.
