I booked this reservation. According to your website there was a "Airport Shuttle." Prior to my departure I requested instructions on how to get the shuttle? your company contacted me told me there was one available and that it was free of charge. Upon my arrival in Greece, I did not see a shuttle. I contacted the hotel (@.20 a min. To call from .yncelluarlar phone.) The gentleman that answers the phone said "we have a problem. Who is this.?" I gave my name "Ok, wait I will send it". He called me back said "The shuttle was in an accident and it would take an hr to get to me." He then Called me back again and said that "the shuttle would there in 30 mins." I told him "We were sitting outside the arrivals door #5" He said the cost is $40.00 euro, I said "Booking.com said it was free." He said "There was a misunderstanding and that it wasn't free and did I want it or not?" I said "Do I have a choice, please send the shuttle to pick us up." He called me back again to tell me to "be at arrivals and the shuttle person would have a sign with the hotel name it." I told him "we are sitting at the door of arrivals #5" He called back said "the driver is looking for you." I explained once again where we were sitting. The man walks up with a sign that shows the hotel on it. We say ok. WE follow him. NOT TO A SHUTTLE BUT TO A TAXI. The Taxi driver then drove us, NOT TO THE HOTEL AS WE WERE TOLD, BUT TO THE PORT! He then explained that we had to take a boat to the island and there would be a cab there waiting for us. This would cost an additional $28.00euro. At this point I am in pure disbelief. So, We get on this boat, NOT A YACHT... A BOAT THAT HOLDS MAYBE 100 people and very rocky. We arrive at the port and guess what, you guessed it NO TAXI TO PICK US UP! I call the hotel AGAIN (@ .20 a min) only to be told that getting to the hotel is my responsibility. MY RESPONSIBILITY? He said "Take a taxi or a bus. It is about a 20min ride via the bus and 15 mins via taxi." I explained to him that I do not speak Greek. He said "Well there is not other way for you to get here." So, we find a cab and take it to the hotel. Upon our arrival we are greeted by the same man "Thomas (that is the name he gave us) he said he is the owner. There is not lobby, we are in the bar area. We are told we can't check in. That check in isn't until 2:00pm. We are told to have a sit. We asked about the shuttle where we are told there never was one. That it is "just an offer. Because he gets a better rate for the client, it could you $70.00euro instead of the $40 euro you paid" We were like ok. Then as we sat there and he said "Didn't you know you were going to this Island?" We said "No Sir," He then had to prove a point saying "look look at the map on the site, it says island!" We were like "Ok Sir" He continued to say " You need to read better." Then we said "We did read Sir. It clearly said Airport Shuttle availble, it doesn't not say to "Airport Shuttle Available to Port. He clearly says Restaurant and you clearly told us it has been closed for 1 /2 months because of not enough clients." That is when he got mad and told us to get out. "You get off my property! I am calling to cancel your reservation. You go! You go right now! I am completly dissatisfied! $161.00 euro and then HAVING TO pay for the hotel stay in Athens. I want to be compensated FOR ALL OF MY EXPENSE ALL...
Read moreI arrived in the evening with the ferry without any reservation. Since the season practically had ended (5th October) most hotels were closed. I was glad to find Possidon right on the waterfront in the center of town. The price was ok and I was offered a slight reduction if I stayed for longer than just 1-2 days. The hotel was in a very good condition and from the room/balcony there was an open view of the port and the sea. The staff was very friendly. There was no restaurant but there was a good breakfast. Since this type of reviews also should include things which may not be entirely satisfactory I may mention the bathroom. It was small, and one of the reasons that it felt unnecessarily small, was that the door, in my opinion, opened the wrong way (inwards). I can definitely recommend this hotel, and, if I came to Thassos again, I would not hesitate to stay...
Read moreThe first contact with the staff told me that this will be a very good place to stay in Limenas. Upon arrival, Nicos the friendly guy at the reception, put a map on the desk and started to summarize all the places to visit on the island, including best beaches, resorts and atractions. The view is great, the rooms were very clean (the sheets and towels were changed/replaced daily), and the food (we ate breakfast only) was fresh and very tasty ( i recommend the yogurt and the pine honey). The price was ok at the offered conditions. Thank you very much Possidon, for a...
