Mythodea Apartments — Hotel in Thassos Municipality

The second time we stayed at Mythodea was no source for unpleasant surprises. A large one bedroom apartment, which allows room and privacy for a family of up to 4 (as 2 members of the family can enjoy a separate bedroom), with a lovely view of the sea and the harbor. Two single beds in the living room. Indoor dining area with 4 seats. A fully equipped kitchen (electric stove, microwave, coffee machine, sandwich maker, kettle, and a set of dishes for four plus some pots if you want to cook) allows you to prepare breakfast and/or dinner and to enjoy it with a hot cup of coffee/wine and/or beers on the terrace with the wonderful view. When the weather is less pleasant, you can enjoy the meal indoors. The bathroom has a washing machine, which allows you to wash your clothes and have them dry by the next morning (clothes drying rack for each apartment on the terrace). A new set of clean towels are provided every day as part of the cleaning process. Every two days the bed sheets are changed. The location allows you to have a quiet vacation very close to Limenas ferry harbor, within walking distance from the vast majority of the taverns, the local landmarks and within 3 minutes from a supermarket, a bakery, caffes, 30 seconds from a swimming pool at Vournelis Hotel (accesed by buying something from the bar) and 15 seconds from the sea. Cleaning service once per day, covering both the apartment and the terrace. You may ask Emma for anything (e.g. recommendations for beaches and tavernas, information, extra bed sheets) as she has been a very good host for us for the second time this year. Hint: in the evening, after enjoying the sunset from the terrace, stroll down the streets of Limenas. Before entering the villa premises, watch for the fireflies in the neighboring olive orchard. In this special times, we have found it safer to have lunch at tavernas as late as possible (e.g. after 3 PM) and eat dinner and breakfast on the terrace. Nice and clean apartment, however the bathroom had a terrible smell due to the floor waste trap. As there is no window to allow fresh air to come inside the bathroom we had to put up with terrible waste smell and had to keep the bathroom door closed throughout our stay. This is a building design problem we have encountered on many Greek apartments.|Also, the 2 single beds that were supplied to suit 4 x adults were not suitable as they were very short in length and would only suit small children or short adults. I will make an update of this review. All the things that i said below will remain, but it is a must to inform you about : stilling things from the room. They said that they have 100% trust in the cleaning lady, but I am 100% sure that my new pair of white jeans dissparead and 2 ceramic rings, too. It is so sad, because we really like the location and we wanted to come back next year.
