Elea Hotel Apartments and Villas — Hotel in Zakynthos Municipality

Tripadvisor comes up trumps again - the reviews for this place were spot on. Without getting carried away, I may even venture the Elea is the best hotel we've ever stayed in in Greece - and we've been to a few. ||As others have said, the rooms are spacious, clean and the free air conditioning is a real bonus. You often get charged extra for A/C in Greece, to have it laid on is very welcome. As is the free wifi - while it wasn't the fastest, we've stayed places not as nice as the Elea where you're charged three euros a day per device. So well done Elea on that front.||The location is a bit of a hike away from the main drag, but the upside is you don't have to listen to the karaoke from the bars all night, so I'll take the walk, thanks.||The pool area is nice and you shouldn't struggle to find a lounger - we were there in the middle of July and strolled right up at 11am most mornings, which is unheard of. ||Can't really fault anything, to be honest. I guess if I were being picky, the hot water ran out after about 10 minutes in the shower, but after a hard day lounging in the sun, that was no disaster either. ||Very much enjoyed it - well...

Stayed for two weeks in August 18 as a group of eleven. Very comfortable, clean accommodation and in a great location. Set slightly away from the town on a quiet road but only a short walk away to the shops/bars/ restaurants. Beautiful and relaxing pool area that always had sun beds available. We used the bar/snack bar daily and always had good quality, tasty food. Best part of the hotel is the family that own and run it. They are amazing, caring and friendly and went out of their way for us over and over again. We had a medical emergency whilst there and don’t know what we’d have done without them! Greek hospitality...

Lovely apartment. The best shower/bathroom I have ever had in Greece!. Nicely decorated room with a decent sized balcony and great sea view. In a quiet spot but only a 5 minute stroll to the main street with plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. Good pool area with nice sun beds and parasols. Always plenty of free beds but that was towards the end of the season. Only 18€ in a taxi from the airport and 10 minutes away so no need to bother with coach transfers. Room safe and air con included in the price. Couldn't have...
