Target Restaurant Argassi Zakynthos — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

I can honestly say that visiting this restaurant (and don't expect anything remotely special) was the worst meal and experience of eating out that I have ever had. The service was shockingly bad. Whilst the waiter was pleasant.... we had to wait far too long for first drink and any sign of food. The shared greek plate starter was awful. It looked like cheap luncheon meat and very average selection of other strange food. A few chunks of sausage and other tasteless bits. We all chose Mousaka for our main and expected something very traditional and tasty. However it was more like a cheap lasagne than mousaka. None of us could eat it. Absolutely vile. As were the chunks of overcooked potatoes that were swimming in oil!! For 3 people we paid 72 euro and only had 2 drinks each. The rest was for over priced and poor quality food. It totally spoilt our last night of a beautiful holiday in Zante. The atmosphere was non existent and if it wasnt for the fact that we were in the hills and very remote.... we would have all walked out....

Coming to this special place since my first trip to Zakynthos Island back in 2017 and since then have been here whilst every stay a few times. The view is excellent along with the sunset if you are looking for a great dinner place combined with sunset. The owning family consisting of Nikos, Dennis and many others have become friends over the past years. Out of approx. 50 times or more having eaten here, we never had been disappointed, doesn't matter what you pick on the menu, its simply a great dish.Food is prepared with a lot of passion and great quality, staff is very caring and make sure to have 1 ouzo (or more) before leaving this place. The so called mountain water = ouzo is an absolute must have experience when visiting Target Taverna, be sure, Nikos has got a lot of great stories to tell. Love this place and all the people that are a part of it!...

i hate giving bad reviews. i mean the views at this place are truly beautiful, and getting there is quick via their transportation service which i can’t fault whatsoever. however, the service at the restaurant could definitely be better. the staff wasn't very attentive or welcoming, unlike other restaurants in zakynthos. i feel i have been spoiled too much with extremely lovely people that this place lacks the feeling i would normally receive while visiting other restaurants 🙁

unfortunately, the food was a disappointment. the chicken was dry and gristly, the mushrooms were undercooked, so was the pasta and the sauce was so bland it was almost tasteless. we fed the chicken to the cats as noone else was feeding them or taking care of them. overall it wasn’t the best, but at least the scenery...
