La Casita de Angie — Hotel in Sacatepéquez

My parents and I came here Friday and Saturday as we had a wedding to attend the next day. PROS: Washroom was very clean and comfortable. Two landmarks were about a 10 minute walk away. Hotel is about a 20 minute walk from central park. There's a kitchen for guests to use if you want to prep your own meals. Staff is very kind and cordial. Above all honest. We rushed out of hotel on last day and forgot a cell phone and a suit. They let us know about it. CONS: Our room with double beds for three people was rather cramped. One of the walls in the room was a bit musty/moldy?. Ventilation in the room in my opinion is an issue. Although there is not traffic on this street, you can hear the busses and hustle and bustle early in the morning starting at 5am. The skylight in our room was too bright, which along with the traffic noise made it hard to sleep. If you wake up easy, NOT the place for you. Parking is an extra charge. We had to pay Q40 per night to park in the garage...

It was slightly difficult to find this place, our taxi driver had to ask the local and circle the area for a few times. The reception couldn't speak English, and he took care of everything in the house including cleaning the room. There's a shared kitchen in the house, but we didn't use it. Our room was on the top floor, with spiral steel staircase to get to it. There's no view in the room as both windows either facing the wall of the next house or the hallway. However, in the bathroom, there's a small opening hole facing outside, but it was too high to look out. When I first see it, I was a bit worried about mosquitos getting in, but there weren't any. During the day or night, the temperature was bearable in the room despite having no fan or air-conditioning. We stayed here for three nights, and...

The staff specially Noah was a very kind host always willing to help make our stay more comfortable, if we needed anything like our clothes washed or a specific store or service he tried to accommodate that information for us.
