Visiting El convento de las Mercedes was a unique experience, but unfortunately, it didn't entirely meet my expectations. The historical significance of the place is undeniable, and it certainly has the potential to be a captivating site. However, the current state of the convent leaves much to be desired. Firstly, the overall appearance of the convent seems somewhat neglected. The building and its surroundings appear run-down, which detracts from the historical ambiance one would expect from such an ancient site. This lack of upkeep takes away from the experience, as the beauty and grandeur that these historical structures typically possess are somewhat diminished. Additionally, the organization of the convent is another area that needs improvement. Navigating through the site was a bit challenging due to poor signage and a lack of clear pathways. This made it difficult to fully appreciate the history and significance of the different areas within the convent. Despite these drawbacks, the convent still has an intriguing charm, and its historical value is evident. With some much-needed renovations and better organization, Convent de las Mercedes could undoubtedly become a more inviting and enlightening place to visit. For now, it might appeal more to those who have a particular interest in historical sites and don't mind a bit of disarray.

Nothing to see inside of interest, main attraction is that it's via the Convento that you can go onto the roof of the church, with great views over the town (think might just be on certain days, check at the entrance before paying to enter, as otherwise it's not worth it).
