As others have mentioned… How has this got such good reviews? Such a poor excuse for a wine bar. The staff know nothing about wine and only try to promote certain ones on offer. We were chatting to the British girl working there, she recommended to me her favourite, a chilean red, which I ordered and it was served cold 🫣. We ordered some Brie - this was also so cold, taken straight from the fridge. Served with not bread but dry old broken crackers and some orange puree. When we mentioned the coldness of the Brie they said this is how they serve it! Disappointed, but not wanting to be too offensive, we asked to take the food away to let it get to room temperature in our apartment. Our bill was then produced which included a 10% tip which we refused to pay based on the fact that the food was inedible and we had to wait another hour before we could eat it, and even then the Brie was incredibly bad quality. The manager said she couldn’t take the tip off, we said she could… asked her nicely to, paid and left. £17 for 2 glasses of wine and cold, bad Brie. What a joke. We Brits are too polite. We should have had the balls to not pay...

Amazing atmosphere but to be honest very disappointing in regards to the selection of winery. Disappointing because I came to Antigua Guatemala, not Italy. I didn't come to sip on Italy wine, I came to try Antigua wine. Their selection of wine is so little and on top of that very disappointing. Guatemala has a great wide range of exotic fruits and I hate to say Antigua does not take use. They have fruits such as Nispero and other things such as Zapote... They should be serving wines like dessert wine and a wide selection of exotic fruit wines to help winemakers in small towns such as San Juan earn a living and to help their people thrive by creating more opportunities for jobs and businesses.
