A friend of mine and I stayed for a weekend at hotel y restaurant playa linda. After having a rough week, this was the perfect place to relax. The hotel is about 10-15min walk from the center and 50m away from any bigger street (walking down a small path towards the lake). We were warmly welcomed by Felix and guided around the property. He gave us information about the surroundings and transportation possibilities and times. The room was simple and the beds comfortable. We had breakfast, which was included and dinner at the hotels restaurant. The food was prepared by the family and very delicious for 20-35q. As the hotel is located away from any bigger streets, it's very quiet and relaxing. The garden has a couple hammocks and other seating/ chill possibilities. Wifi was available. Everything is done with care and we felt very comfortable...
Read moreI loved staying here very much, Felix was a very dedicated, professional and welcoming host, provided good information about the area and prepared nice breakfasts and dinner I had there (the spaghetti with a portion of fries the night before hiking was especially great) I liked that it was away from the center of town and nestled into the community, to really experience the area, there is a laundry service right across the street along with several small convenience stores, further down the road away from the center you can get some groceries and produce and some papas Fritos freshly made. Also the Hotel is a stones throw from the beach and affords beautiful views of the volcanoes and a remarkable sunrise. I highly recommend this place to stay and if I find myself in San Pedro again I will certainly return,...

The place is totally unstaffed for large parts of the day, which meant we once ended up stranded outside with no one to let us in when our key wasn’t working. They also don’t allow you to store luggage for any amount of time after you check out, which really messed with our plans on our departure day. Note that it’s also pretty far (20ish minute walk) from the central area of San Pedro. You get what you pay for, but for a comparable price you could stay somewhere...
