A famous man aptly said “Food is symbolic of Love and Happiness”. Fire and wheel are considered primitive man’s best invention. Grilled meat should also be on that list too! There are a lot of things that come to mind when you think of the Middle East such as the Islamic culture, mosques, inspiring folktales, abundant oil resources etc. For me it’s the unmatched gastronomy and the delicious Arabian Cuisine that has a global influence and is celebrated worldwide.
Fattoush one of my favourite restaurants is hosting Aromas of Arabia. As the name suggests, it is a food festival which brings the rich essence of flavours from the Middle East, while being true to the decade-old recipes.
Chef Amr and Chef Musthafa, have flown in from Dubai especially for Aromas of Arabia. They shared their views on how even the simplest of Arabian dishes take patience to prepare. They are related to serving the authentic dishes in the city. The dynamic duo has worked hard in putting up a menu which covers all the popular dishes.
The menu starts off with the ever-simple and the most loved Hummus and goes on to include Family Mix Grill, Maglooba chicken wrapped with Cabbage and the classic Oozi with Chicken in Pumpkin.
Aroma’s of Arabia will be happening at both the outlets of Fattoush – Bannerghatta Road from Oct5 to Oct14 and BTM Layout from Oct12 to Oct21 of 2018.
Food- Everything on the menu is exceptional and extraordinary. Impressive Presentation and Impeccable Quality. Mocktail drinks were splendid and refreshing. My top picks were the Orange Blue and Passion Mojito. To start off, I couldn’t stop munching on the fresh and appetising Arabian salad topped with superb crisps and pomegranate. Cream of Mushroom Soup had a rich texture and was excellent. The Hummus with soft pita bread was fantastic.
Babaganoush which is a juicy Assorted Non veg Kebab Platter was incredible. Marinated brilliantly and grilled to perfection. Special mention to the tender lamb Chops and piquant sheekh. One of the best I’ve had. Highly Recommended.
Oozi with Smoking Pumpkin was Phenomenal. Low on spice yet an explosion of unique flavours which excite the palate with the taste of meat being prominent.
Maglooba was Remarkable. Fragrant long rice mixed with well-seasoned minced meat, peas and succulent pieces of chicken.
The desserts were a delightful culmination to a sumptuous meal providing heavenly bliss. Baklava was outstanding. It is a small crunchy pastry stuffed with different varieties of dry fruits that has a right balance of sweetness and melts in the mouth. The Falooda was irresistible as well with each of its layers having an outburst of goodness. (8/10)
Ambience- Wonderful interior decor. Well planned layout. Spacious arrangement. Comfortable chairs and sofas for seating. Beautiful Calligraphy Painting. Nice Arabic music in the background. Amazing artefacts displayed on shelves. Bright natural light accompanied by LED’s. Marvellous wall cladding and texture paint adorn the walls. Elegant Ceiling Rafter panels and matching dividers adds to the attractive look. Stylish wooden furniture. Spectacular view of greenery overlooking IIM from the large glass windows. Great air conditioning. Fabulous Children’s Play area. This place has an enjoyable, calm and relaxing atmosphere ideal for conversations. (8/10)
Service- Exemplary. Staff is courteous, attentive and highly trained. Commendable Hospitality. Waiters are quick, knowledgeable, efficient and make the guests fell welcome. Quintessential fine ding experience. Basement Parking Available. Reservation Recommended. (8/10)
Overall- (8/10) An extravagant feast and a memorable afternoon. Fattoush is sure to bring a smile on your face no matter what your mood is. Worth Travelling the Distance. Will definitely visit again to satisfy cravings. Moderate Competitive pricing with...
Read moreHad been here with my friends which is located in Bannerghatta Main Road. What wins it for this place at the very outset is it’s awe-inspiring decor....without a doubt one of the most gram-worthy places in all of Bangalore. The interiors look exquisite with lighting and an elegant fine dine setup. The place is magical and the seating is so comfortable, the vibe is sexy and the best part is the service and the staff. They're really sweet and humble and that added up a looooot to the whole experience and made it a million times better!
Coming to the food itself, they specialise in the Arabic and Indian cuisine and oh boy, it does not disappoint. As we are vegetarians, we tried : SOUPS : *Hot and Sour Soup *Manchow Soup MOCKTAILS : *Pina Colada *Fattoush Special Mocktail *Green Fair STARTERS : *American Crispy Corn *Honey Chilli Potatoes *Tandoori Mushroom *Veg Seekh Kabab MAIN COURSE : *Garlic Naan *Stuffed kulcha *Rotis *Butter naan *Daal Makhni *Paneer Lababdar *Veg Biryani DESSERTS : *Sitaphal Cream *Royal Falooda *Kunafa *Hazelnut Kunafa
From the starters to the mains to the mocktails and desserts, everything looked as well as tasted amazing. *The Moctails were quite soothing to the palate. They had a fun tinge to it. *All the starters were TOP-NOTCH snd tasted quite unique and delightful to the tastebuds. *The main course was justttt DELECTABLE.... was an explosion of flavours in my mouth. *After eating this hefty food, wanted something to refresh and thus ordered Sitaphal Cream and Royal Falooda which tasted quite toothsome. *Specially Kunafa and Hazelnut Kunafa are a must try....justtt woke up my tastebuds. The Food here is something you will remember for a long time.
Perfect place for Casual Meet-ups, Kiity Parties, Get-Togethers, Parties, Conference meets or a quick hangout with your squad.
They have special Arabic and Sea Food Menu for the non veg and sea food lovers. Overall I really enjoyed my meal here. The service is top notch and they give nice suggestions on what to order. Bookmark it...
Read moreSo this is what happened yesterday evening at Fattoush. We are a family of 5 with ladies and kid. There was this group 3 uncivilized people sitting right behind us. They started passing comments at the ladies and changed seats to sit next to us. They started teasing the kid as well which we weren't okay with. We looked at them but they were least worried of being noticed and continued to do so. I told one of those guy to focus on his dinner instead of doing all these things and he replied saying " I have complete rights to see anyone I want". The verbal fight escalated and after that hotel management intervened just to tell us that they are locals so can we change our seats. A family of 5 was supposed to change seat but that group of hooligans won't change theirs because they are locals. This is what they said. Hotel management guys supported them to which we said are you suggesting that because they are local they can do whatever they want. Is this the hospitality you are serving us with. We stood up and walked out and they stopped us and said you will have to pay the bill. They had least decency to think we will eat in a place where kids and ladies are not safe. These guys would be doing the same thing with others. Finally, police came in and they were nice and supportive. Being here in Bangalore for 10 years I know government officials can be supportive of locals and they don't encourage eve teasing. They helped us settling with the hotel management and we paid only for those items we are and left after 2 hours of torture. I know Bangalore does stand up to such behaviour but there are some sico mentality people in every community. I was expecting better management from hotel. I won't ever go to this bad...
