First of all let me tell you it is not a hotel or resort but it is a lodge which is located on roadside and market area of candolim beach. This property has nothing good to talk about and booking this lodge for 4500/- (per night without breakfast) was my biggest mistake and regret during the entire Goa trip.
First day when we reached to the hotel I was quite surprised to see that they don't even have a proper reception! All they have is wooden desk and one guy has sitting there to give you rooms keys and write your name in register.
We booked the "Premium Room" which was displayed in Goibibo thinking that this would be a better and spacious room and the tariff that I am paying is worth considering the fact that it was a pick season but to my utter shock we were given a completely different room and it didn't look anywhere close to the room pictures of " Premium Room" shown in Goibibo. When we showed the pics to the staff then they were completely clueless and said that this is what they have. Since we already paid tariff so we were helpless and had to accept that room.
After reaching the room I was shocked to see that they don't even have intercom phone in the room!!! And there were no call bells even!! When I asked the staff they told me that to call the staff I need to dial the landline number of the hotel everytime (the number was on the room key holder) I was speechless to hear this, these days even the Oyo rooms have landline phones in the rooms.
When I informed the staff that there is no dustbin in the room, the guy informed me very coldly that there is one dustbin in washroom and I can use that. So can you imagine a room which is costing me almost 4.5k a night doesn't even have a dustbin in it. Everytime I need to go inside the washroom to trash something.
They have give us only 1 bottle of water in the room which they think is sufficient for 2 people. So in the night when I asked for one more bottle the staff said that I will have to pay for it. I was in shock to hear this. According to them for 2 people 1ltr water is enough in a day.
Moreover this lodge is located just on the roadside/market area so there is so much of noise of vehicle/cars and it simply gives you a headache. This would be the last thing someone can expect during a peaceful vacation.
Lastly during checking out while I was still paying a handsome tip to the "one and only room service staff they have Mr. Bablu" we informed him about the issues that we faced. However rather than being apologetic he kept on arguing with me stating that this is a very small lodge so this kind of experience can take place (but the amount they charged from us was nowhere close to any small lodge)
If you guys don't want to waste your money and precious time during your vacation in Goa then please please please DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! This hotel is not worth more than 2000/- I have shared few pics for...
Read moreI had fantastic time staying @ Banyan Tree Courtyard Goa. We planned this trip for our wedding anniversary. I went with my wife and 4 year old son. We stayed for 5 nights. It was pleasant & peaceful stay. We were very well taken care of. Property is amazing , rooms were very spacious, neat clean and hygienic. Check-in was hassle free, in this pandemic all necessary safety measures were deviced by hotel management. Breakfast served was delicious & filling. Naveen is a wonderful, fantastic & warm property manager, he took good care of us, he infact upgraded our room which was special gesture for our anniversary. It is centrally located property in heart of Candolim, very close to Candolim beach & lots of restaurants and happening places. All in all 5 star property, great perks at very reasonable budget. We would love to go back. (Faisal is my brother, he stayed at the property with his family and I had booked this for him hence posting his guinuine review on...
Read moreIf you are looking for a great budget homestay kind of a boutique hotel, then Banyan Tree Courtyard Goa is your go to place. The room rates are very reasonable and it's on the road situated among a few of the top hotels in North Goa. The kitchen is limited however you will not be disappointed with the breakfast spread outdoors. Small seating but gives a very home style to the stay. The rooms too are minimal but clean and with a colonial style. It's just 4 minutes walking distance to the Candolim beach. That is definitely a highlight. The cab/ scooter rental is close by, and I parked my rental car in the small driveway of the property itself. The staff managing the service were very hospitable and friendly. So, thank you Chandan and Babulal for making our stay memorable. Try the local fish (fried) or even the pomfret (you will have to order/ inform them in the morning itself). The cook especially comes for preparing the dinner (hence limited...
