Cafe Blue Palolem Cottages — Hotel in Goa

One of the best sea view accommodations and cafe in South Goa and Canacona to be specific. Loved every second of our stay here. It was an incredible experience. Blissful ambience. Shoutout to our host Mr. Sandeep for making our stay one of the best we have ever experienced. Humble and cordial staff who ensure yo make customers satisfaction and needs their top most priority. Mr. Krishna, Mr. Prakash are the ones I interacted the most with. They will help you with every detail of facilities available, water activities, etc.

I would advise making advance reservations should you choose to stay at Cafe Blue.

There is a separate car parking available in the property backyard (walking distance from the main location).

Food : Top notch breakfast and most items from the menu are cooked fresh. They will communicate upfront if a frozen item is used. My personal favourite was the fish tandoor and lobster cooked in garlic sauce. Do try the red snapper and sea bass tandoor and the lobster too.

Rooms: Clean and tidy rooms. Hot water available. No intercom available but the reception is easily accessible. property is less than a 100 mts from beach.

Work from Hotel ;) Jio and Airtel network work just fine with 10-15 mbps dwnload speed which is good enough.

Overall, I was in awe of the place and never for a second regretted booking my stay...

I actually want to rate it 4.5/5 but there is no option. It is a very good place to stay on the beach. There are many better looking beach huts in palolem but most of them are good looking outside but the rooms are pathetic. Cafe blue looks a bit dull outside but rooms are very decent. Toilet and Bathroom are separate which is a big positive. Bedroom size is decently big. Water bottles, towels, bathing soap, shampoo is given but no dental kit. Best: View from the room is simply ming boggling, that sounds of waves all day is just wow, music to ears. Food!! Food is by far the best in palolem. We were recommended this place by our friend and it was worth it.!!

Areas of improvement Start serving food in room or at least balcony area for AC delux sea facing rooms. Please install rotating wall fans or Standing Fans because when breeze isnt there, sitting outside gets tough. Power cut was one issue. they need bigger back ups as during cut even washroom lights dont work and it gets completely dark Please install bigger bulbs especially in bathroom. Great place for honeymoon! They have cozy cabins which is more than sufficient for a couple. You walk out right onto the beach. The cabins are separated with some yard so have privacy. The shower/bath functions well. Relatively clean. The food in cafe is great if you dont want to go anywhere. The guy at the front desk is very helpful and easy to talk to. (Make sure you toss a few rupees their way when leaving though!). The place is on northend of palolem which is quieter which we preferred. The walk to the south end is not so bad because after all, who doesnt like walking on the beach. Palolem beach is crescent shaped so you can see the whole beach from this view. Walking the beach from one end to the other is less than an hour. The morning sun and evening sunset are to die for. Lots of activities and more foreigners than the beaches in north of Goa. We also did a canyoning trip hosted by a french national who lives in Goa for 6 months at a time. Made the trip even more so memorable!
