Have been to candolim multiple times and stayed at many hotels including all leading brands on that stretch of road, but I would rate this hotel as the finest among all. The reasons are plenty as I stayed for 5 nights and 6 days:
Now time for cons: though very basic but I felt to mention it.
We stayed here for 4 nights and 5 days. We opted for 2 BHK Villa which came with a semi-private pool. Villa was spacious and comfortable, pool was also good enough. Bathrooms were clean and big enough. Best thing was, this villa was near the front entrance of resort, so less walking hazard from parking to room, ideal for senior citizens. The resort it self is very pretty. Beach is 3-4 minutes walk from inside the resort.. We had choosen breafast + dinner plan and suprisingly, we were the only ones for dinner every night. Still the buffet staff did not hesitate at all and did their best job. Dinner was absolutely amazing. Buffet manager Mr. Vipul and his team were truly professionals. Reception desk staff is also friendly. Check in and check out was easy and quick. They even help with cab service and rental car contacts which are reliable and genuine.
Things to love : Friendly and polite staff. Great food, in breakfast as well as dinner. Clean pools, fitness centre etc. Beach and market on walking distance. Small but well managed property, not too much walking.
Some suggestions : Suprisingly, Villa comes with 3 tvs, 2 in bedroom and 1 in the hall. But the hall TV should be bigger. There are 2 bathrooms, one in the hall and another upstairs in one of the bedrooms. Second bedroom has no bathroom, which was a little disappointing. Villa also has kitchen area with alot of cupboards and storage, but everything was empty, there were no dishes, cooking pans or even knives/spoon inside. Villas are surronded with lushy trees, which was very pleasant. But also caused alot of mosquitoes at night. Phones in the room need some service. Very less volume and alot of disturbance.
All in all, I will give this place a huge thumbs up, ideal for Families with kids and senior citizens. Looking forward to...
Read moreI went there as a solo traveller. So was not sure what to expect. But I was pleasantly surprised overall. Quick check in at the reception with welcome drink (non alcoholic). The room was a 1 bedroom flat (without kitchen) with on suite etc. Spacious for one person. Bisleri/Mineral bottles x 2 every day in the room. Room cleaned every day. Both living room and bedroom had air conditioning, fan and tv so heat was not a problem. Large balcony facing ocean although ocean not visible from my ground floor flat at least. But you can reach it in 2 min max through the back entrance. I reached bit late due to delayes flight so missed lunch hour but they made chicken sandwich, coffee for me. Also i used in room dinner service from menu. About 50 inr charges, which was nothing considering i was exhausted and couldn't go out. Food was fine but nothing extraordinary. Breakfast was buffet with mainly Indian cuisine like idli, upma, wada, rice, veg haka noodles, boiled egg and few more options. Also tea, coffee, juices and cereals etc. So plenty. You can also get freshly made omlet and dosa by order. Facilities were overall good and felt safe. Staff is very helpful. This property doesn't have taxis outside like Novotel does but they will call or book taxi for you. All amenities nearby including shopping mall, street shops, medical centre, plenty of restaurants. If you are into goan fish cuisine then try Cocum Kadhi across the main street. Didn't try swimming pool but it is 4 ft deep, not busy and kept very clean, if it matters to you. Overall, I think it was a good deal. Very affordable, safe, clean, and helpful staff overall and beach almost in...
