My recent dining experience at Bending Banboos Bar & Restaurant left me utterly disappointed and regretful. I had high expectations for a delightful meal, but unfortunately, every aspect of my visit fell short of even the most basic standards.
1)Worst Taste: The dishes I ordered, including the Kingfish and Pomfret, had an unpleasant and dreadful taste. The flavors were bland, and it was evident that little effort went into ensuring the food's quality and taste. I was expecting a delightful seafood feast, but what I received was far from satisfactory.
2)Odd/Foul Smell in Fish: To make matters worse, both the Kingfish and Pomfret emitted an odd and foul smell, suggesting that they were not fresh. Freshly prepared fish should never have such a repugnant odor, indicating a lack of proper storage and hygiene practices in the restaurant's kitchen.
3)Worst Staff Behavior: The behavior of the restaurant staff was nothing short of appalling. When I brought up my concerns about the taste and smell of the dishes, they were dismissive and unapologetic and the Chef was saying that the food taste was good, even though the foul smell was emitting, Instead of taking responsibility for the subpar food quality, they shifted the blame to their suppliers, which only added to my frustration as a diner.
It is disheartening to see a restaurant with such a promising menu and potential fail so miserably in delivering a satisfactory dining experience. The lack of care in preparing the food and the dismissive attitude of the staff have left me with no desire to return to Bending Banboos Bar & Restaurant or recommend it to anyone else.
In conclusion, my visit to Bending Banboos Bar & Restaurant was a complete disaster. The underwhelming taste, foul-smelling fish, and unprofessional staff behavior make it a place I would strongly advise avoiding. I hope that the management takes customer feedback seriously and takes immediate action to improve their food quality and customer service. As it stands now, I cannot envision returning to this restaurant or encouraging...
Read moreI have been visiting Goa almost every year since 2013 and often frequent Fisherman's Cove and Café Jazz. This time, I decided to try Bending Bamboos for dinner after noticing its appealing atmosphere. (It’s located very close to the two restaurants mentioned above.) However, I had an extremely disappointing experience. Here’s what happened:
A waiter initially offered me a table, but shortly after, the manager asked us to vacate it, claiming it was already reserved and pointing to a group of four people who arrived after us and were looking for a table. It seemed like the manager prioritised them, assuming a group of four would be more profitable than just the two of us.
This place appears to cater primarily to British tourists, with the manager ensuring the best seats were given to them, while Indian guests were relegated to seats near the entrance. It felt like the manager was still stuck in a pre-independence mindset.
I will never visit this...
Read moreMy recent visit to Bending Bamboos was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I stepped in, I was enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The ambient lighting, soothing decor, and gentle background music created a relaxed yet elegant setting, perfect for unwinding after a long day or enjoying a special evening out.
The food, however, was the true star of the evening. Every dish was a culinary delight, specially the Tandoori Chicken, the beautifully presented appetizers to the mouth-watering main courses. The flavors were vibrant and expertly balanced, clearly crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Whether you’re a fan of hearty classics or looking for something more innovative, the menu offers something for every palate.
In conclusion, Bending Bamboos is a gem for anyone seeking good food, great ambience, and even better service. It’s the kind of place where you leave not just satisfied, but eager to return. Highly...
